About Elizabeth
Elizabeth Charvat has been a real estate agent since 2013 and joined Rêve Realtors in 2020. She is especially adept at helping first time homebuyers find what they are looking for and enjoys seeing them achieve the sense of pride and connection that comes with homeownership. As a top producer and a historic home specialist with the Preservation Resource Center, she focuses on her favorite New Orleans neighborhoods -- Marigny, Bywater, St. Claude, Seventh Ward, and Mid-city. And she abides by her personal and professional philosophy, which is “Love where you live.”
After majoring in Art History and Architecture at Binghamton University, Elizabeth went on to spend years working in fine dining, learning the importance of mindfulness, and honing her communication and sales skills. In 2007, she fell in love with New Orleans unique culture during a 3-day stopover on what was intended to be a cross-country road trip. And she never left.
In 2009, Elizabeth bought her first house in the Bywater and spent three years renovating it, doing most of the work herself and learning everything she could about home construction in the process. After advising her mother on the purchase of an investment property, she got her real estate license to keep abreast of the market. And before she knew it, friends wanted to work with her to buy their own homes based on the amazing work she’d done on her own.
Known as friendly, attentive and helpful with a great network of contractors, Elizabeth’s clients sing her praises. Says one, “Elizabeth was an amazing resource for information about housing throughout New Orleans. She was able to understand our needs and what we were looking for in a way other realtors we had worked with in the past had not. She is extremely responsive and professional and truly went the extra mile for us to make sure both our buying and selling experience went smoothly.”
An explorer at heart, Elizabeth loves to travel when she is not working and has visited thirty-two countries. On top of hiking the Inca Trail and watching people walk on fire in Greece, she spent two wonderful months living in India. She also loves to read, is a certified yoga teacher, and shares her bright green Bywater home with two Maine coon cats.
