My realtor, Ellie, was the perfect fit for me. She understood the attachment that I felt for my house as it was my home for 40 years, but it was time to sell it. Ellie was professional, dependable, and kept me informed throughout the entire selling process. She was always available for any questions or concerns that I had. She was a wonderful support. She is very knowledgeable as she priced my house correctly for the current market. As a result, my house had multiple offers above the asking price and sold quickly. Working with Ellie was very enjoyable. Always patient and understanding of our needs. She was never not available for advice and or a discussion. In our case, we had a very long time span between contract and closing, largely due to improvements that were needed on the house. During that timeline, we were living out of state. Ellie was our “boots on the ground” . Without her over site, during that time, we would have never been able to close successfully.

If you're in a very difficult and sensitive position and can't find a realtor that will understand, Ellie Savoy of Houlihan Lawrence in Dutchess County is the one for you. She went above and beyond in a way that I have not experienced anybody do. The circumstances to the sale of my house were very acrimonious and Ellie went out of her way to handle things that made it so much easier for us. Ellie expertly guided us through the purchase of our new home in Pleasant Valley, from the initial offer through the closing. The level of service she provided was above and beyond our expectations:

She helped us put together a winning bid in an extremely competitive market. Before meeting Ellie we had lost out in a few best and final offer situations. Ellie helped us put together a winning bid on this house with recommendations for the purchase price and contingencies that were key to our offer being accepted.

We relocated to Dutchess County from NYC, so we needed help finding local professionals, like a lawyer and home inspector. Ellie made some excellent recommendations.

Once our offer was accepted Ellie helped us get answers to all of our questions about the house. She always promptly followed up with the sellers’ agent. She even filed an FOI request on our behalf with the county for details about the size and location of the septic system.

In addition to her professional diligence, Ellie was also a real pleasure to work with. We highly recommend her and would absolutely work with her again.

As a home inspector, I have come across a lot of different real estate agents. Some good and some bad. I’ve never met anyone quite like Ellie. She truly cares that her clients are getting the best home. Most realtors care about the sale more than their clients and being honest with them so I have become slightly jaded toward agents. But when I first met Ellie, she showed me that not all agents fall in the same category. She knows that a sale of a house is a stressful process and from start to finish she will be there to guide her clients with a gentle hand. But also can be a wonderful negotiator to get her clients what they are looking for if need be. What can I say about Ellie… Our meeting her was very unique and everything happened so fast….
