Working with Ellen has been such a pleasure! She was extremely professional, quick on her responses and very detail oriented. Got the best deal I could had gotten. She made the right suggestions to get my condo ready for sale by making some improvements prior to putting it on the market. It paid off! We got two offers on the first two days it went on the market!
She has the best qualities you would want in a realtor.

If you need a realtor look no further than Ellen! You will not regret having her on your journey for your home buying/selling/renting needs. I am active duty military who is use to moving every 2-3 years but my move to the DMV area was unlike anything I've experienced; it was challenging and overwhelming. We own a home in another state and wanted to rent in the DMV area. I found Ellen on a website for realtors who specialize in military relocations. The first time I emailed her it was a Saturday afternoon and she called me 15 minutes after the email was sent! Ellen suggested cities with great school districts, advised us on what traffic was like etc. She put up with my last-minute request and constant emailing with a professional, pleasant attitude. Not to mention she was responsive! If you call or email her, you can expect for her to pick up and get back to you ASAP! Ellen was knowledgeable, professional and went above and beyond! Y'all, I'm telling you this lady is something special! We drove up to the DMV area to lock down a rental, which meant a marathon of Ellen taking us from one house to another with a teenager and toddler in tow, in a two-day span. She found out it was my husband’s birthday and dropped off cupcakes, specialty treats and a card wishing him a happy birthday at our hotel room *insert crying emoji* In an era where customer service appears to be dead and people tend to let you down, Ellen is a breath of fresh air. Her passion for her craft is evident. If you want to work with a realtor who understands the local market, pays attention to the small details, has a vast amount of knowledge, has an engaging personality, is a great communicator and truly cares about your needs, look no further than Ellen M Forrest!

We really lucked out with Ellen as our realtor! Not only is she amazingly knowledgeable and responsive, but she was also a pleasure to work with. One of the most important qualities in a realtor, when you're looking for a house (or trying to sell one) is that a realtor really listens to you and understands your needs. Ellen is incredible at that and helped us find the most incredible home. I can't recommend her enough—you'll be in the best hands if you choose to work with her!

As a military family, moving isn't new for us but it does present unique problems that we've discovered take a special kind of realtor to handle. When a spouses' forum recommended Ellen, I immediately set up an appointment to meet with her.

A military "brat" herself, Ellen definitely impressed us from the get-go. From understanding the challenges that military families face with timing, last minute changes, etc, Ellen was always quick to respond to anything we threw at her. She had a in depth understanding of the market here, having lived and worked in the area for a good number of years, and great insight into housing trends as well. Both proved invaluable in our search for a home. She was quick to schedule viewings of listings and planned around our commute to the area so that we could see as much as possible without wasting time driving back and forth from Reston. And, even though we had quite a few "marathon" days of driving from one listing to another with a 4 year old in tow, Ellen stayed upbeat, friendly, and professional.

When our home search changed from looking at what was on the market to purchasing a to-be-built home, Ellen was a wealth of information on builders, communities, and school systems. She asked all of the questions that I hadn't even begun to think of when we met with builders, knew what questions we needed to ask and what we needed to ask for to get the home we'd been dreaming of.

Honestly, Ellen was just amazing, the professional friend you wish you had that knew what we wanted and then found a way to get it for us. She went above and beyond, often responding to my middle of the night emails (that I expected her to actually see and answer from her office the next morning,) sending us worksheets and checklists to make sure that we were on schedule with the logistics around a move that had absolutely nothing to do with the house and everything to do with helping keep her clients sane and happy.

Ellen is a sweetheart of a person and the consummate professional and I can't recommend her any more highly.
