About Emily

Emily was born the daughter of an accomplished salesman and a caring, patient mother who had been a schoolteacher. She grew up in the trenches of her grandfather’s family business, a small but successful chain of sporting goods stores in Santa Cruz, California. To this day, she has fond memories of riding in the company delivery truck with her grandmother shuffling product between stores. She was also put to work in the warehouse putting price tags on thousands of items and being “paid” for her time with shopping trips to the mall with her grandmother.

That is where she learned the importance of working hard and earning your keep. Regardless, it is where she learned of her love for Nordstrom.

At the age of 12, Emily’s family moved to Lake Oswego, looking for a fresh adventure. Excelling in all thing’s art & design, she graduated from Riverdale High School. Upon graduation she started her first commission-based sales job at Nordstrom, selling women’s shoes. At no surprise to those that knew her, she quickly became a “pacemaker,” earning her way to the top of the sales rankings.

In 2004, Emily met her future husband, Christian. A few years later a customer recruited Emily to manage a chain of local tanning salons. It was here that she spent the next 7 years of her sales career learning how a business truly operates. Her salon quickly rose to number one in sales for the franchise out of 200 locations nationwide.

After being “burned out” of the tanning industry, she sought a career with flexibility so she could spend more time with her family, which had grown with the birth of her two sons, Ben and Ethan. Her salon quickly rose to number one in sales for the franchise out of 200 locations nationwide. Emily then embarked on the first of two remote sales jobs.

The first was as an Account Executive for Entercom Radio, where Emily collaborated with local businesses and structured successful radio advertising campaigns. The second, a result of another recruitment, led Emily to Wells Fargo in a role selling merchant services to small and medium sized businesses. It was not long before the grind of this position left her feeling unsatisfied and unmotivated.

After encouragement from her husband, Emily swiftly signed up to get her Real Estate License. She completed her education in under three weeks, was licensed the week after, and in true “Emily” fashion, hit the ground running.

Emily found her stride in Real Estate very quickly, however, this surprised no one. Over the last five years, she has nearly doubled her volume and transaction count year over year. This has earned Emily a ranking in the top 40 at The Hasson Company over the last 4 years in a row. Most recently, she was ranked #10 within the company, achieving nearly $46 million in volume and selling 76 homes. In 2019, Emily earned her Principal Broker’s license, and began growing a strong, like-minded team. Emily’s philosophy is “if you do business the right way, the business will continue to come.”

This is proven by 99% of her clients being referred to her from friends, family, and past clients.

In Emily’s spare time, you can find her seizing every opportunity to travel both near and far with her husband and two boys. She loves entertaining in their newly remodeled lake house in Sherwood, where the home improvement projects are as never ending as the gratitude they feel to live there. Emily also collects wine from the area’s best wineries, of which she is a member of many, probably more than her husband knows.
