Emily graduated with a Business Degree in Real Estate from The University of Georgia in 2002 and began working as a commercial real estate analyst for Collateral Mortgage Capital (GrandBridge) in Birmingham, AL shortly thereafter. Emily credits the mentorship she received there as influential in laying the foundation for the work ethic and due diligence she has today. In 2006, Emily and her husband, Cayce, returned to her hometown of Hayesville, North Carolina where the closeness of family and the slower-paced life of the area became the ideal backdrop for building their future together. After moving home, Emily secured a job with Bank of Hiawassee where she gained valuable banking experience despite the difficult economic conditions of the time. Emily maintained her position with the company for 12 years, working as a commercial lender, special assets officer and mortgage banker before joining her dad, Richard Kelley, in 2018. Her 15 years of financial experience, as well as her local roots, provide Emily with a unique skill set and an irreplaceable insight into the North Georgia/Western Carolina market.
