Bought a fixer that Eric help guide me through the process of purchase with the various inspections, connecting with title and loan officers, as well as the timeline. If it had not been for Eric, I'd have left $7,500 on the table. Eric has gone above and beyond other agents that I've worked with in the past 20 years in that regardless of day and time he will respond promptly to deal help you accomplish what you need. Ohana!

Eric Macalma went above and beyond the call of duty. He always went out of his way to please us. When we finally found a home and made a successful bid, he was able to get us an extra $15,000 off! Eric always goes the extra mile and does his job in exemplary fashion. I would not hesitate to recommend Eric to anyone looking to buy a house in this crazy market.

Eric was the best agent I could hope for in my home buying experience. My wife and I were very particular about what kind of home we wanted and had all but given up hope after searching through thousands of listings. We had finally found a home we wanted by another agent only for us to lose the home to a lower bid due to that agent giving bad information, scaremongering, and putting us in a terrible negotiating position. After calling the mortgage company to complain, they referred us to Eric, who was THE EXACT OPPOSITE IN EVERY WAY! Eric answered all our questions in the first call, and sent a email immediately upon first contact which highlighted all the benefits of working with him and the Better Mortgage company that we had applied for a loan with.

We were all over the place with him, but he checked out all the places in the Greater Sacramento area that we requested and we ultimately found 5 places of which three we were willing to settle. After deliberation with my wife we ultimately decided to go with one of the options, and bid right at the offer rate, which was accepted.

Ultimately due to people building my underwriting profile dropping the ball and making some huge mistakes in income calculation and DTI, my loan was denied by underwriting, having notified us of the issues a mere 10 days from closing, and the home went back on the market. Eric came right to the rescue and suggested a couple reputable loan brokers. We were pre-approved within 24 hours, and had underwriting conditionally approve within just one week!

On top of all that, we decided to make a new offer on the home, which the sellers dropped the new list price on by a whopping $25k, and Eric helped us lock in that even lower rate. So it all worked out! From there it was smooth sailing, Eric even honored the 1% rebate on closing costs even though I no longer was working with Better Mortgage, taken out of his own commission! He worked with our schedules to get the keys when we were free to make the trip up to the new home, and stayed with us every step of the way until everything was taken care of. He's the agent you'll definitely be inviting to housewarming events, invite out to dinner on the house. An amazing experience! I'll definitely be working with him again when we upgrade to a new home down the line!

As a realtor, I just completed an escrow with Eric where I was the listing agent and he was the buyer's agent. He was always extremely quick to respond to questions via text or email and kept in constant communication throughout escrow. I could tell that he truly cares about his clients. Getting Eric as an agent was the best decision we made. My wife and I had been overwhelmed by the market and were really lost with the whole process. We decided to find an agent and were having bad luck with agents in the Sacramento region until Eric contacted me. He was just different. He was very encouraging to us. He pushed us to ask questions and never made us feel bad about asking too many things. He gave us recommendations that made our experience more pleasant. The whole time I was telling myself "this is too good to be true", but it was all true. Eric is such a nice and responsive person I would 10/10 recommend. He was personable and friendly. We felt like he cared about us. Made us feel special and like he was only working for us in spite of him working on multiple deals at the same time. If you are someone who is not sure about getting a real estate agent, I recommend you go with Eric. He feels like a friend who knows the business and not a salesperson who you hope to never see again.

We were first time home buyers and in this market that can be an absolute nightmare. Eric made it simple and easy for us. We were looking for a house in the Pocket area and moving from the Bay Area, so our schedule for viewings was very limited. Eric made it work with our schedule and was super responsive at any time of day. He explained how the offer process works and our offer was accepted within 15 minutes. On the day we got the keys for the property we had an issue with the locks but Eric called a locksmith and paid for the service as well. He even gave us a few housewarming presents. If you're looking for a down to earth real estate agent with no BS, look no further! I can't say enough good things about Eric.

I've met many real estate professionals in my life and he is by far a stand-out in the field. There is really no need to look further, he's the one you want on your team.
