About Eric

Eric’s focus intersects real estate and hospitality whereby he works tirelessly to offer a highly personalized service as he anticipates the needs of his clients. He truly understands how to manage different personalities and the importance of being personable, proactive, and resourceful, and has honed these skills and attributes in each of his professional experiences. Eric’s values are simple when dealing with people: trust and kindness begets more trust and respect on both sides of the equation.

Eric obtained his real estate license in 2015 from New York Real Estate Institute (NYREI) and went on to work under a mentor broker at Bond New York, learning the nuances of the New York City housing market. Attracted by a larger footprint yet family oriented approach, he eventually moved on to retain his license with R New York (formerly Charles Rutenberg LLC.), guiding prospective renters and home buyers in the rental and purchase process throughout NYC. Eric carved out his niche working primarily with residential condos, new developments, and multifamily rental properties. In just over three years with the firm, Eric brokered nearly $7M in sales volume as the buyer’s broker, extending from the acquisition of a townhouse in Park Slope, co-op in Gramercy to a new condo development in Tribeca. He also transacted nearly 40 rental deals within New York’s most renowned residential markets representing the tenants and landlords, generating a pipeline of referral and repeat business.

Eric specializes in downtown and upper Manhattan in addition to some of the most beloved and trendy neighborhoods in Brooklyn. Assisting students and young adults as they transition to their professional work lives, families in relocation, and short and long-term housing has been a staple of his business. Whether looking to pursue a dream job in the big city, a summer internship, or a permanent relocation for a new career move, Eric makes it his priority to ease the natural stresses that come with the territory, and takes much pleasure in supporting his clients with a guiding hand as they take the next big step in their lives.

To complement Eric’s real estate dealings which have largely been word-of-mouth and grass roots in nature, he also works with André Balazs Properties as the Program and Guest Operations Manager at the Mercer Hotel in the heart of SoHo where he has developed many key relationships overseeing the guest experience and VIP operation. Prior to pursuing hospitality and real estate, Eric was an Account Executive in Edelman’s Public Affairs practice in New York, supporting both corporate and non-profit clients with a particular focus on media relations, issues management, industry research, and events. Eric supported accounts across the entertainment, consumer, and education industries which include Samsung North America, Nielsen, 9/11 Memorial, The College Board, and the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund, among many others.

Eric grew up in the Hudson Valley and received a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Media with a minor in Marketing from Ithaca College. He has lived in Manhattan for over nine years and now currently resides in Brooklyn Heights with his wife and daughter.
