Erica Peterson

Hello again! This is Erica Peterson with Ep Realty and for this video I want to share my personal story with you, so you can learn where I came from and how I arrived to where I am today.

I was born in Ghana and I was raised by my grandmother and extended family. As a child I worked in my grandmother’s store selling goods, I believe that is where my love for helping people started and continues to this day with Real Estate.

My father migrated to the US with his younger brother for a better life. My father worked multiple jobs to make ends meet all while saving money to file for his family to join him and live the American dream together.

I came to the US when I was 12 years old with my mother, older brother and little sister to live with our father in Salt Lake City, Utah. My father chose Utah because it was affordable and a great place to raise a family, which is still true to this day…oh and the scenery is gorgeous here ??. We enjoyed our life here as a family and our family grew with the addition of my darling little sister.

I attended the University of Utah (Go Utes!) and was blessed to meet the love of my life, who taught me many things about life and love. We have been happily married for over 20 years. We have a beautiful 6-year-old daughter and are living the American dream as a family and I could not be any happier!

During this time, I wanted to find a career that excited me and that I had a passion for…sure I had some incredibly good jobs, but they were just that…jobs. I started researching Real Estate and I became obsessed, so with the support of my husband I dove in headfirst…and I am so thankful I did.

I’ve been an agent for over 7 years now and have had many successful transactions but still to this day, my most special transaction was helping my mother buy her first home after the tragic loss of her husband and my father. The joy she felt when she was handed the key to her very own home was something I will never forget and is what drives me to bring that same feeling to every client I work with.
