About Eve
Eve B. Lee is a licensed Illinois Realtor since 1965 specializes in land sales and acquisition, planning, development entitlements, consulting and marketing for open space and conservation developments in Lake County, IL. Eve has been involved with the creation and completion of Prairie Crossing, the nationally acclaimed conservation community in Grayslake, Illinois whose guiding principles include preservation of the environment and open space, socio-economic and racial diversity, and a commitment to the principles of new urbanism and transit-oriented community design.
Her expertise similarly guided the planning, development and marketing of Deerpath Farm in Mettawa, the 200-acre estate of Edward H. Bennett, Jr. which preserved over seventy percent of the oak savannah site. Eve was instrumental in providing land acquisition, development, sales and marketing assistance to Hunt Club Farms, the 621-acre former R.D. Stuart estate in Wadsworth, Illinois.
As Chair of the Lake County Regional Planning Commission, Eve guided the adoption of the first Comprehensive Plan by the Lake County Board in 1982. This resulted in the adoption of a cluster-zoning ordinance, rural protection plan and land use facilities plan which were precursors to conservation development in the County.
Eve is past Chair of the Leadership Council for Metropolitan Open Communities, which was the nation’s leading fair housing organization, co-founder in 1978 and current Chair of the Lake County Residential Development Corporation, a nonprofit developer of affordable housing, and past Chair of the Lake County Association of Realtors. Eve was honored as “LCAR Realtor of the Year” and as a “National Hometown Hero” by the National Association of Realtors for her work on behalf of fair housing. NAR named Eve as a National Fair Housing Champion for 2024.
Eve attended Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont, majoring in psychology.
