The situation: Condo sellers in DC's U St neighborhood. Unit languished for months with no buyer interest evinced. Such units used to sell themselves, but apparently not during the age of real estate uncertainty and rising mortgage rates. Desperation began to set in.
The solution: Engaged a new RE broker: The Lugo Parker Team of Compass Real Estate. They gave us the cold, hard reality of what needed to be done to make the sale. They engineered the renovations needed, which they had completed using their excellent contractors. They then staged it with just the right look, got the pricing right, and held the open houses necessary to drum up interest.
End result: A sold unit at an acceptable price yielding a very satisfied couple. Could not have done this without the entire Lugo Parker team working HARD to get us to the finish line. Highest kudos and appreciation possible. Thank you Connie, Evelyn and team!

Evelyn and her team have been exemplary through the entire process of searching for and buying a house. Evelyn has been especially helpful in getting us the very specific things we were looking for in SW DC, where she knows everyone and everything going on in the market. We had a very negative experience with real estate agents and buying houses in the past, and working with Evelyn and the Lugo Parker team has been the absolute opposite of that in every way. They were always in communication, available to talk and provide expertise and advice, and have recommendations for everything one needs to buy, sell, or renovate a house. They have excellent customer service and support, which is crucial when going through the stressful process of buying and/or selling the most expensive things any of us are ever going to buy or sell. We will be using her services to sell our current house as well, and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a real estate agent in DC.

As stressful as the home buying experience can be, the Lugo Parker team made it as smooth and enjoyable as possible. We worked with Evelyn Lugo, and she was very knowledgeable about the DC/Maryland area where we were looking. She was responsive and acted quickly, which is a major advantage in this competitive market. One time when we added on a house to visit last minute, she arranged for Connie Lugo to show it to us, so the team approach was quite helpful (this was the house we ended up buying!) We felt that Evelyn had our best interests at heart and really wanted us to be happy with our first house purchase. She also made great recommendations for a mortgage bank, moving company, which was helpful.

Evelyn helped us with both buying and selling this year, and we couldn't be happier with our decision to utilize her services. You will not have a single regret working with Evelyn and her team—she is a true master of her craft and we would recommend her, without hesitation, to anyone looking for help buying or selling their home. We engaged Evelyn as our listing agent and have the utmost confidence that our home would not have closed as quickly as it did without her help. From Day 1, it always felt as though Evelyn was putting our transaction at the top of her list, even though we knew she was working with multiple listings.

She was in constant contact with us throughout the listing process, ensuring we were all on the same page regarding even smallest of details (i.e., what type of furniture we wanted to be included in the staging process).
