George Vasiliou is a native of Sacramento born to Greek immigrants. His passion for the industry began at an early age, when he would accompany his father – a successful general contractor and real estate investor- to his jobsites every weekend. During these formative years, George’s father walked him through each phase of the construction process and instilled in him the importance of providing top-notch customer service and never cutting corners.
Intent on taking this experience to the next level, George began studying real estate 16 years ago. He began his property management career at Whistler Land Company in Sacramento, CA where he focused on learning every aspect of residential property management. After about one year at Whistler Land Company, he accepted a position with JCM Properties as a Leasing Agent. During this tenure, he learned every aspect of multi-family property management and quickly rose the ranks from leasing agent to bookkeeper and eventually to manager of over 400 units, between two apartment complexes. From 2008 to 2016, George and his family began a new venture of flipping homes. During this eight-year tenure, George’s family flipped over 70 homes here in Sacramento. The experience of flipping helped shape George’s mindset to think as an investor; foreseeing the bottom line, sharp negotiation skills, and easily being able to assess renovation costs, which separates him from many other real estate brokers.
George obtained his Real Estate License in 2017. In 2018, he began working for Custom Realty and Loans, Inc. where he focused most of his energy on creating a property management division for the company and built a large portfolio of properties to manage – both commercial and residential. Simultaneously, he has helped multiple families buy and sell homes while also helping investors acquire additional properties to add to their portfolios. For three years, he worked closely with investors, developers, property owners, tenants, and other agents to understand what each party would like to see from a management company.
In June of 2021, George obtained his Real Estate Broker License, branched off from Custom Realty and Loans, Inc. and formed D&G Real Estate Services DBA Vasiliou Properties.
