Gerald Goolsby

Gerald Goolsby is married to Janice Blue Goolsby. They have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. Gerald was born in Munich Germany. His father is the late GC Goolsby from Ellijay, Georgia. His mother is the late Vergie Oxendine Goolsby from Fairmont NC. Gerald has been a resident of District 2 approximately 32 years and currently resides in the Deep Branch community. He and his family are members of Reedy Branch Baptist Church in Fairmont NC. Gerald is a licensed Minister and serves as a Sunday School teacher for the College and Career Class. His educational background consists of completing high school in the Robeson County Extended Day School Program with a diploma from Magnolia High School. In addition, he has completed several Management, Textile, and Team Training courses at various institutions such as NC State, UNC Pembroke and RCC. He worked at Outer Banks for 28 years serving in several capacities. At the peak of his leadership, he managed approximately 275 employees. He was responsible for developing the annual budget which included capital purchases, salary and wages for employees and all supplies with a total budget exceeding $12 million per year. After retirement, he and his wife started a small. He serves on the Tribal Council Presently, Gerald has completed the Real Estate Broker course and has successfully passed the state exam for Real Estate Brokers.
