Geri Barker is a devoted individual who cherishes her family, friends, Golden Retrievers, and the beauty of nature, including the mountains and tropical beaches, all of which she attributes to the Creator. Having made the decision to move to the Shenandoah Valley in 1998, Geri considers it one of the best choices her family has made. After spending a decade on a small farmette along the Shenandoah River, Geri and her husband transitioned to the Old Town area of Harrisonburg as empty nesters, allowing them to embrace the convenience of city living and enjoy a myriad of local attractions within walking distance, such as activities at JMU, the Farmer’s Market, great restaurants, the Children’s Museum, and their church.
With a career in real estate spanning since the mid-70s, Geri has weathered the fluctuations of interest rates, buyer's markets, seller's markets, and everything in between. Her expertise extends to helping sellers navigate objections to their home selling, strategically positioning homes for sale, and expertly staging properties to maximize appeal to potential buyers.
Geri's clientele spans a diverse range, from first-time homebuyers to those purchasing their second or third homes, relocating buyers, investors, empty nesters, and growing families. Regardless of age or stage of life, Geri has worked tirelessly to meet the unique needs of each client she serves.
Throughout her career, Geri has maintained a steadfast belief that buying and selling real estate is one of life's most significant decisions, and she knows firsthand that experience matters. With Geri's guidance and expertise, clients can trust that they are in capable hands as they navigate the intricacies of the real estate market.
