Gilliam Kittrell is an owner and Vice President of Hodge & Kittrell Sotheby’s International Realty. He is a committed real estate industry veteran with over 38 years of experience in Triangle residential real estate sales. Gilliam believes strongly that each and every client deserves the best possible service and he has dedicated his career toward achieving that goal. “What sets us apart is our commitment to fully represent our clients before, during and after their transaction. History
After graduating from Episcopal High School in Alexandria Virginia, Gilliam attended the University of North Carolina and graduated in 1978 with a B.A. in Economics. In 1979 he became a resident of Raleigh and began his real estate career. In 1987, he partnered with Joe Hodge to form Hodge & Kittrell Realtors. In 2011, Hodge & Kittrell Realtors was asked to join the prestigious Sotheby’s International Realty network and became Hodge & Kittrell Sotheby’s International Realty.
Passion
During Gilliam’s spare time, he enjoys fly fishing both fresh and salt water and even builds custom fly rods as a hobby. He is an avid tennis player and enjoys cold January mornings duck hunting with his Labrador retriever and friends. A day on the water hunting or fishing with his two sons is a day well spent. He and his wife Meredith enjoy travelling and have recently spent vacation time exploring old Europe.
Accolades
Gilliam has achieved a number of significant professional accomplishments including his being selected as the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors (RRAR) Realtor of the year in 2006 and his election into the RRAR Hall of Fame in 2012. Other achievements include serving as a President of the RRAR in 1997 and over 10 years serving as the Chairman of the Professional Standards Committee, which oversees professional conduct among the Realtor community.

Gilliam firmly believes that luxury is an experience and not a price point. In the constantly evolving residential real estate industry, he recognizes that the fundamental trait that defines a great agent comes down to one word: Relationships.
