We interviewed a handful of the top rated Agents and Brokers in the Santa Cruz and Scotts Valley area. It was clear from our first meeting that Gina had the most experience, a deep understanding of the Santa Cruz and Bay Area markets, and was very well connected. She was also very personable.

Gina understood strengths and weaknesses of our property and neighborhood, knew the type of buyer to which it would appeal, and developed a pricing and marketing strategy that ultimately resulted in multiple offers at our asking price. This, despite a very challenging market for sellers. We were also particularly impressed with how hard she worked for us. She worked on our schedule fielding offers, producing counter offers, and hosting conference calls late in the evening, early in the morning, and on weekends.

We feel very strongly that Gina is the best of the best in Santa Cruz County.

Gina is a rock star.

I was tempted to leave it at that, but some details are necessary.

My property was fully functional but in need of some serious renovation, remodeling, and updating. It was a complex job that was supposed to take two months. It took eight! (Work was completed after escrow closed...) Gina turned into the nitty-gritty inspector and did walkthroughs with the contractor multiple times. It would have driven me absolutely nuts, but Gina kept plugging along and making sure things were done correctly.

Finally, we listed and sold in three weeks, at above asking.

I live out of the area and Gina helped me with all the on-the-ground activities to prepare my home to sell, including finding numerous vendors to fix up my home and meeting folks to do the inspections, etc. She provided top marketing for the home including professional photos, videos, and room by room tour of the place. Gina came to us 2 years ago when we were strongly considering selling our one and only home that we ever had. She explained what we would need to do first prior to selling and that was to go through all our “stuff”. To quote comedian, George Carlin, ‘if you did not have so much ”stuff” you would not need a house’ and sometimes you have to move to a bigger house…why? Cause you have too much stuff”.
So we want to move to a smaller home which means we had a lot of stuff to get rid of (yard sale, dumps and goodwill…the kids have so much “stuff” that they declined our “stuff”). We also received a full -page typed list from 4 of our 6 grandchildren on why we should not move.
After 2 years, we found a home to move to and Gina was called again and she immediately came to us for the next stage in our lives. Papers were signed on June 27. She took beautiful picture of our home and had them posted on a home sale web site as “Coming Soon”. She set us up with an excellent ‘stager’, Debra (who was available at any time to answer questions) and Gina recommended Jose ‘Cuco’ as our landscaper. Thank you Cuco! She recommended how to start boxing the stuff we want to keep.
With just about all ‘stuff’ boxed and furniture moved to the garage, we had a fire in our area and had to evacuate. We prayed that our dreams did not go up in ‘smoke’. After returning home, Gina continued to work hard on the sale of our home and the buyer made an offer before the home went on the market.
Gina and her side kick, Tanner, arrange for all of the inspections for the buyer. At times, I was a bit overwhelmed with ‘Doc U signs’ that would appear in my emails. I had to remind Gina and Tanner to keep us informed of any paper work or changes coming our way. Since we left the state 15 days before the escrow actually closed, asking for updates was very important to us even though there was no change at times.
4 months-10 days later and a major forest fire in the middle…SOLD and Escrow closed!
