Harris Safier

Born in Brooklyn, Harris moved to Stone Ridge in 1978, then to Kingston in 2010. He has built six houses from the ground up (four on speculation) and renovated 10 others over the last 4 decades, making lots of friends, and learning a great deal in the process.

Harris established Westwood Metes and Bounds Realty in 1978 on values of commitment, knowledge, service, and integrity. After selling the top-performing 41-year-old company in 2018 to Dutchess County’s market leader, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hudson Valley Properties. Drawing on extensive local experience, he was able to provide leadership, mentoring, and inspiration for the Clement, Brooks, and Safier teams.

Harris enjoys direct interactions with buyer and seller clients. His knowledge garnered through literally tens of thousands of transactions, enables him to serve his clients in ways that most agents are unable to. He found that many relationships with clients continue long beyond their closed transactions.
Harris is a former two-term President of the Ulster County Board of Realtors, a former two-term President of the Multiple Listing Service of Ulster County, and an instructor of U.C. Board of REALTORS Ethics for 12 years. He also serves on the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Kingston.
