Sarah Wood was our buyers agent and I cannot offer praise sufficient to express our gratitude. She was very knowledgeable and communicative, I never had to wait more than a few minutes for a response to a text, and my phone calls were always answered. However, I rarely needed to call or text her, as I received updates from her on a regular basis. The last couple of weeks before closing the updates sometimes came 2 to 3 times a day. Our lender was exceptionally difficult to deal with, and the sellers agent left much to be desired in the communication department. The end result of that was Sarah having to do much more than her fair share of the leg work. I honestly believe had it not been for her outstanding level of communication with the attorney, the lender, and the sellers agent, we would still be waiting to close. Her extraordinary efforts made the experience easy, despite the stress induced by the incompetence of our lender. I have recommended her to every person I know who is looking for a home, and my wife and I have agreed that she will be the first person we contact for any future real estate transactions, buying or selling.

Heather Sawyer was amazing! We were moving from Maryland to Elizabeth City, NC and couldn’t come down to view properties. With how fast homes were selling we were afraid we would never find a home. Heather assured me that we could video chat during a walk through if we saw a home online we were interested in. She and her team were very responsive to our questions- we had a lot as first time homebuyers. I saw a new listing on a Sunday night and messaged heather right away. She wasted no time at all and managed to get a 8am viewing for the next day. We fell in love with the property and I told her “I want this house & I want the seller to accept OUR offer. “ Heather knew exactly what to do and within a few hours of submitting an offer, it was accepted. The property was on the market for less than 24 hours. Closing was set at 5 weeks and I told her I wanted to get in sooner, and she made that happen. We closed in record time thanks to Heather and the amazing attorney they work with, Will Norell. We absolutely LOVE our new home and are so grateful we had Heather to guide us in this crazy process.

Mindy Lorber has been my Property Manager, leasing both commercial & residential properties for several years, and has now moved into the SALES side of the real estate business. Mindy has recently SOLD both commercial & several residential properties for me. She has the qualities that make her extremely successful and effective. She is an excellent communicator with both me as a seller, and the buyer’s agents, and always on top of the ever changing status. She has gone above and beyond with not only getting the properties listed (doing the research to assist with assessing a fair market value of the property), but getting the properties ready for showings, and followed through with coordinating the after inspection repairs, while I am out of town. My realtor Samara Griffin was the absolute BEST!!! She made my first time home buying experience an enjoyable one. She took the time to explain the process to me. She learned my likes and dislikes, must haves and all! She wasn’t trying to sell me just a house, but help me find a home. We were in the market for our first home and we worked with our agent Samara Griffin. She patiently and eagerly took us to visit the homes on our list. And when we found the perfect one, she kicked things into gear to get us in our new home as soon as possible.
The first part of the transaction was very easy, but then we ran into major hiccups (not related to Samara). However, Samara continued to guide and support us along the very complicated and stressful journey to homeownership. She attended any meeting, made any phone calls, did any research and of course advocated for us when we were too stressed and confused. She remained hopeful for us, even when it seemed all of the odds were against us. Never did we have to chase her down for unreturned calls or messages. We knew she was by our side and ready to give 110% to the effort to secure our home. After months of back and forth with lenders and the credit bureaus and even the seller, we FINALLY made it to the closing table. On the day of closing, Samara had to attend a funeral for a very close loved one, but guess what? She showed up early to the closing to be there for any questions, to comfort my trembling nerves and to see the transaction through. Getting the keys to our new home seemed like the impossible journey. However, with Samara by our side, we made it. And our home is that much sweeter :)
