Smart Start Homes was founded in 2017 by Henry Gobel to fill a need in the new home marketplace. We felt that some new home buyers were having a hard time finding attractive, sensible, and move-in ready new homes for a good price.

Our new home plan designs are specifically created to have fantastic curb appeal, while still being sensible in home size and sale price. Additionally, the interior layouts and finishes are constantly updated and tailored to the latest trends.

Construction of the new homes is completed with trusted trade partners that have decades of experience in the building industry. Providing good pricing on the homes requires being efficient in the building process.

In July of 2023 my wife and I found a SmartStart home listed online, and drove two hours to Shullsburg, WI to see it. Henry Goebel, the broker/owner adjusted his schedule and met us there that same afternoon. We made an accepted offer and closed a week later. Henry is a true professional, he builds very high quality and well laid out new homes, at very competitive prices. The few minor issues we found were taken care of very quickly and responsibly by his extended team. We highly recommend him and the homes he builds!
