Howard J. Thill is a licensed Sales Associate and member of the McGraw REALTORS® Bartlesville office. Thill is a Bartlesville native and attended Oklahoma State University where he earned Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Marketing as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He is also a certified public accountant.
Thill was previously Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sanchez Energy in Houston, Texas. Prior to joining Sanchez, he served as Senior Vice President of Communications and Investor Relations at Devon Energy where he was responsible for all investor relations activity and development of corporate messaging. Prior to Devon, Thill served as Vice President of Corporate, Government and Investor Relations at Marathon Oil Corp. He began his career with Phillips Petroleum Company in 1982 as a Drilling Fluids Engineer and subsequently held positions of increasing responsibility in natural gas operations, federal and international tax, international finance, and business development before moving to investor relations.
Thill is currently on the Board of Directors for the Cherokee Area Council Boy Scouts and serves as Vice-Chairman of the Bartlesville Salvation Army Board of Advisors. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors for OKM Music as Treasurer. He serves on the Oklahoma State University Foundation Board of Governors, is a member of the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association’s Leadership Council, served for seven years on the board of directors for Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas, and was previously active in the National Investor Relations Institute Senior Roundtable.
Thill and his wife, Shawna, earned their real estate licenses in 2019. “Simply put, my wife and I joined McGraw because of the people. The welcoming team atmosphere, support, and company growth are second to none.”
