IJ has been my realtor for several years. I have a few takeaways from years of working with him.

1. Knowledge: He is extremely knowledgeable and able to assess the condition of a property. Every time he has shown us a property I have walked away with a new insight and understanding. This first pass assessment allowed me to avoid spending on home inspection with deal breaker flaws from the start. Only after having passed the IJ Assessment did I do a home inspection.

2. Ethics: What I found particularly compelling about IJ is he identified issues with a number of properties that I would have easily missed. It would have been in his self-interest to not point out any issues or downplay them, to quickly close the sale. He plays the long game working in his client’s best interest not his. He has earned a lot of trust and goodwill. I can understand why he gets a lot of referrals.

3. Connections: He knows contractors that he has personally used over the years. I have used his recommendations and have generally been satisfied.

Final take away: I would feel comfortable referring him to family and friends. If I am in the market either buying or selling, he is the first and only realtor I can think of calling. No glitz or glamor. IJ is competent, strong work ethic and is ethical.

I can't express how greatly beneficial I.J. was in my selling and buying journey. He represented me both with the sale of my condo and the purchase of my new home. As most know, these are stressful, daunting life events and having a true professional representing your best interests makes all the difference.

Having I.J.'s strong negotiation skills, vast knowledge, and service tailored to fit my budget was a huge benefit and absolute relief. I really felt I had someone working with me and for me. His advocacy and guidance calmed my nerves and allowed me to focus on the important factors in both buying and selling, rather than letting my emotions control the decision-making process.

IJ not only helped us out almost 10 years ago, during our home BUYING process, but then when it was time to SELL our home in late 2023, we knew he was the only option we should consider! And just as he went above and beyond for us during the Home Buying process, he absolutely did the same for the Selling process! He crushed it, and we absolutely got maximum sale price for our home, it sold quickly in one weekend, and he just made the process so easy and stress-free. IJ was awesome to work with. He was recommended to us by the realtor we had been working with when she had to take a sabbatical. We had our offer accepted on our dream house in a very competitive area, even though we weren’t the highest bid. IJ guided us to a 25 day close which included the pandemic shutdown. He also got us a good offer on our former house within two weeks of going on the market. IJ has a great attention to detail, professionalism, and is just a good person to talk to.

Selling your home is a daunting task, with so many things to consider.
I.J. Hines eliminated all our concerns. He is professional & understanding. Our questions were answered thoughtfully and timely.
