You never realize how important good realtor will be in your life, but they are present for most major life changes. I selected Jack Cote randomly off the internet 14 years ago. That was my lucky day and I hit the realtor jackpot. 14 years ago I was pregnant with my first child and had a very limited budget. I’ll never forget how hard Jack worked for me to find a house that I was comfortable with the mortgage on, and yet fit my expanding family’s needs. He was a rockstar, and I had an amazing home to bring my son to. Since then Jack has weathered so many situations with my family, divorce, remarriage, aging parents. All these life milestones have a tendency to come with real estate transactions. I have purchased 5 houses, and sold 3 of them with Jack as my realtor. And as the years go by and my budget increases and my requests become more specific, Jack has remained consistent. He will look at a hundred houses to find the one that fits my needs and budget. He never pressures me to change either of those. He knowledge of homes is invaluable, and if he has concerns about a property not being a good fit he tells me. When it comes to selling, his knowledge of the area and market is invaluable. I have always followed Jack’s advice on pricing and marketability. I think the longest any house I’ve sold has been on the market a week before I was under contract. I believe that is because of Jack’s ability to price my home correctly for the market we are selling in. I have recommended Jack to numerous friends and I will continue to do so until he retires. I would never use another agent outside of Jack Cote.

1 Jack really spent the time to listen and created a sales strategy that was really in my best interest. I worked with Jack both as a buyer and at the end as a seller. I always felt I was in good hands and never not once did he try to sell pressure me. If anything he talked me out of many places and for good reasons

2 Patients was a quality that I really appreciated when working with Jack.
I build and renovate properties in California Wine Country. Jack is truly a breath of fresh air compared to the Realtors I'm use to in California. If you are a California Buyer relocating he is the realtor to work with. His knowledge of the Reno and surrounding area is spot on!

3 Sincere to the bone. There is nothing fake about his concerns for his clients and he will go to great lengths to help out. During my recent listing with Jack I lived in California and was an absent owner. Jack filled in for me by making sure things got done at the house, Garbage cans out,
set up handyman and met sub contractors at property prior to sale. One day my ring door bell went off and sent me a video it was Jack in the front of the property tiding up a few weeds. OMG I was embarrassed.

7 INTEGRITY. All the way! set up the listing with the best interest for me the seller however ultimate concern to make a responsible purchase for the buyer. Carefully went overall all disclosures with me to make sure I did not miss a thing! I was also surprised and happy to see him at the title company on Closing Day.

8 KNOWLEDGEABLE. Jack's knowledge of all the different neighborhoods, subdivision and development in Reno and surrounding area was very helpful when I first started looking at relocation. What I am more impressed by is his knowledge of the market pricing and movements. When I first started shopping and being from California I might have been too eager had it not been for solid advice from Jack. We just have looked at a few dozen places and not once did I even feel the slightest bit of pressure.

Jack helped us purchase our first home in Reno in 2016. We did not hesitate to contact him again when we were ready for an upgrade. He gave honest feedback on the homes and neighborhoods visited. After my MIL's sudden death, my FIL was in shock, depressed, and devastated. To make matters worse, my husband and I were his only assistance and we lived out of state. His caring style, his “the client always comes first” attitude is surprising, yet especially refreshing in this day and age. Jack was such a great agent for us! Any time I had a question or needed help, he responded so quickly. And even after the sale, we had a couple issues pop up and Jack was right on it. He was always so patient with us during the looking process. And one time there was a house we couldn’t get over the mountains to see, he went and took lots of videos of a walk-thru for us. In the last year, our lives have changed for the better in so many ways, and we would not have been able to do any of it without Jack and Melody Coté’s guidance and understanding.
In researching who would be the right fit, we wanted a team that had an outstanding reputation and reviews, plenty of experience and support, and a vast understanding of the market. For us, Jack and Melody Coté stood above the rest. So, when my husband and I needed to sell our house of 30 years, we knew that we could not do any better than Jack and Melody. They were even known and ‘approved of’ by a family member in the northern NV real estate industry.
They are so down-to-earth and were wonderful about explaining things in easy-to-understand terminology – as we were new to the process. They were so generous with their time and expertise. Now, my wife and I are amongst those who enthusiastically recommend Jack for your real estate needs. He is the ultimate professional! But he is also patient, kind and very responsive, he really treated us like family.
We decided it was time to sell our rental property in this crazy market. Now granted, you could sell a shed right now for $100k, but Jack still went over and above our expectations. He never over promised but he always over performed. He helped us prepare the property with his extensive list of repair and cleaning people. He told us what to expect every step of the process. When our property hit the market, Jack was there showing after showing as practically every time slot was rapidly filled in. For five straight days, he was out there showing the property; I don't think he even had time for lunch! We hit every metric, the home sold in 5 days, above asking price, with multiple offers!
We would like to share a little story about Jack the person. Our renters had left some photos behind in one of the closets. Our property manager was not particularly interested in returning the photos, but Jack found the renters and returned their precious photos! This is a person of true integrity and character. We highly recommend Jack Cote!! I did a lot of research before choosing my Realtor and Jack has some of the best stats around....and he definitely didn’t disappoint, he lived up to his accolades! He is so kind, experienced, and professional. He uses the best photographers to make the home really stand out and bring in the buyers! Our home was on the market for only one weekend, we had many showings, and 3 offers!! Bidding wars usually don’t happen when your home is priced at 800k, but Jack knows what he’s doing.
After being in contract, Jack went above and beyond to try to help ease our stress while dealing with the most difficult realtor of all time! The other realtor refused to ever respond to us, wouldn’t keep us up to date on what was going on, would not make any deadlines, and was just flat rude about everything for no reason. What should have been the easiest transaction ever turned into a giant stress ball. Jack ended up doing all the work and if I could I would have given him the other realtors commission as well. He definitely earned it, while the other realtor did nothing! Jack also tried to offer help to ease our move as well, he was amazing!

Confession: I pretty much don’t like most realtors. I am a detailed person with over 30 years investing in real estate. Between oversized egos, over-promises, and weak execution, realtors have proven to me to be more concerned with themselves than their clients, and this has tainted my view. Every now and then someone comes along to restore my faith in the real estate “humanity.” That person is Jack Cote’ and the team he has assembled.

Living in Texas, I have been managing my friends’ rental home (it was to be their retirement home until they changed their plans) in North Reno for about 10 years, while he is on an Army base in Germany. As a mental health professional, he is in a very high stress position, and adding the selling process would have been very hard on him and his wife, so I offered to handle the entire transaction for them. I researched online, read literally hundreds of reviews, and spoke with many candidates. I flew up and met with the finalists, and chose Jack.

It was obvious that Jack has a service background, as he was focused on the people side as well as the end-result, and understood the uniqueness of our situation. While I was not the owner, Jack knew I was entrusted with this large task, and offered his vast network of trade people to help me refresh the home to make sure it showed well on camera, online, as well as in person. With this goal in mind, we were able to get the property repairs done, pictures taken, and on the market within an incredibly short 6 days of the tenant’s lease expiring.

The navigating of the offer further cemented my positive view of Jack’s dedication to make the client feel like a family member, rather than a business transaction. When we had a few issues during the phases of negotiation, Jack not only communicated with expediency, he brought solutions to the table. While it was technically not his “job” to get these solutions implemented, he went the extra mile to make sure we stayed on track, and as a result, we were even able to close a few days early.

A lot of realtors will talk about making their clients happy, Jack and his team actually deliver. He made sure the transaction was as painless as possible, and my friend had a stress-free transaction. This “stranger” in a town 1000 miles away from me, made me feel like I was talking to a brother, rather than a typical realtor. Jack is a truly warm person who sincerely is looking out for your best interests. You cannot go wrong choosing Jack Cote’ for your real estate needs…and this from a person that rarely has their high expectations met.

we were living in california and relocating to nevada. since I didn’t know any realtors up in reno, i started looking online for some reviews. let me start out by saying that i have a general distrust of realtors and mortgage bankers, as well as dentists and auto-mechanics lol, so i always put in a huge amount of due diligence in researching everything i can before getting into a relationship with any them. i read a few good reviews about jack on yelp and zillow, so i figured i would send him an email. we went back and forth through email and then spoke on the phone. based on his quick response to emails, i got the impression i had found someone who would be attentive, responsive and reliable. once i spoke with him on the phone, my gut feeling validated that he was trustworthy, sincere and i knew instantly that his personality would mesh well with mine. let me tell you this guy has a great personality! he is not pushy or salesman like. his demeanor is patient, friendly and accommodating. so my wife and i made the trip up to reno to look at some houses and jack gave us a tour of some neighborhoods and showed us a few homes. he was accommodating and patient the whole time, even though our 2 year old was crying in the back seat. since he has lived in reno nearly all of his life, he was very knowledgeable about all the areas. my wife and i both agree that jack is very friendly and his even-keeled personality is perfectly in-tune with ours. imagine putting a key in a lock and turning it. thats how it feels to work with him! i'm overparticular about any type of service i receive and i have to say that i am thoroughly impressed with jack! he has exceeded all of my expectations. jack has consistently given us an abundance of attention and white glove treatment from day one! this weekend we just moved into our new house in south reno that jack helped us get! from beginning to end, he has consistently provided an exceptional level of service. he has been ultra-responsive from showing us homes to closing! jack provides the same level of service that you would get if you were eating at a 5 star restaurant! if i ever end up selling this house i will be calling jack to be my listing agent. i feel very lucky to have had the chance to work with him. if you're looking for first rate service from a realtor who is honest, attentive and responsive then you need look no further.

We were 1st home buyers looking to buy a home in Reno, NV but our biggest dilemma was that we were living in Oklahoma at the time!! We were recent grads from professional school and didn't know where to start and who to talk to. We searched out realtors online and the person that answered our prayers was Jack Cote'. Jack was willing to work with us from out of state, schedule entire weekend showings to fit our flight plans and put in all the work needed for our difficult situation. My fiance and I realized we were committed to moving from Boise to Reno. We pulled Jacks name out of blind luck. I was amazed he was willing to work with us, even knowing that we were not moving to Reno for 6 months. The house we finally went with was not even in our original area; my fiance used to live in Reno so she gave him some areas she was interested in living in. We discovered this house with his help because he paid attention to what we wanted. I was continually amazed at how he made it feel like we were his sole client during the whole experience. We both could text or email him as needed with questions or concerns. He made it a point to meet with us for coffee during the actual loan process and to explain in as much detail as we needed, which was a lot, all the phases of the process. I live in the Bay Area and was looking to sell a condo in Carson City. Not knowing the area very well I set up a time to meet with many real estate agents I had found. Jack Cote was our first appointment, and after meeting him we cancelled all our remaining appointments because he was that good. One of my requests from the prospective agents I was talking to was that I knew the condo needed some repairs. After trying yelp and other places I was unsuccessful in locating a contractor. Jack was able to refer me to a repairman, and this guy had my place renovated in one week! Jack advised us on the market, prospective buyers, and what we should spend our money fixing and not. I would be totally lost without this information. The condo was not exactly a gem, we inherited it a while back and kind of ignored it. We had a lackluster property manager who we got rid of, and Jack even put the utilities in his name since Nevada requires someone to have them at all times. I never got the impression from Jack that we would not be able to sell it, and I was impressed when we got an offer about 5 weeks in. There were some complications with the title company, and Jack was able to take care of everything. Is there anything this guy can't do??!! After two months of back and forth, we finally closed last week and I couldn't be happier. We got a fair market price, and are glad to be done with the escrow process. Probably my biggest selling point for Jack is his attitude and his communication. He's really got a can-do spirit, and has ways of fixing anything coming in front of him. We got a little frustrated with the buyer's title company, but Jack was able to re-assure us that everything would be fine- and it was. He sent numerous texts, emails, phone calls (but not too many- only in response to our questions) to keep communications open. It's nice to be kept in the loop for something so important. He also offered to meet up for dinner/ coffee with my family if we were ever in the area again which was so sweet, and we'll definitely take him up on that next time we are in town I would absolutely hands down recommend Jack Cote for any real- estate needs in the Nevada area and there aren't enough stars to give him!

Jack was recomened to me by family members when I relocated to the area. I was blown away at how he simplified the process and being I was a first time home buyer it was very easy to trust him. he is very knowledgeable with Short sales and any other types of sales you may run into. he sees each step through from start to finish and has a tremendus ability to follow up on each and every situation and make sure you are as informed as possible. Jack just helped us relocate from Sparks to Carson City. I am SO glad that we found him because he made the whole experience incredibly easy. Our criteria for a new home was more of a flow chart of “if-then” than a specific number of bathrooms and square feet, so it was nice to have somebody to coordinate all our viewings for us. Jack helped us place a successful offer on the just the right house for us, and made sure we didn’t miss anything. He was there from the initial showing, to coordinating the inspections, to the escrow signing, to our final walk through. His attention to detail is phenomenal. He was constantly in contact, and very quick to respond to calls, texts and e-mails, but he was never pushy, just friendly and helpful. Jack first helped us buy a house in Reno in 2012. He was so awesome to work with the first time around, we asked him to sell our house in 2014. The thing I like about him best is his friendly personality and moral character. I'd trust my life in Jack's hands. His service is exceptional! He enjoys his job and it shows. This is the best service I've received in my life. He treats you like a VIP! Jack hired a professional photographer to come and take pictures of our house. We really feel these quality pictures made our house more appealing to prospective buyers. He helped us price the house competitively and we had 10 showings and accepted an offer the first week. When we started our process of looking for our very first home purchase, we were not very impressed with the realtors we came into contact with. They were basically our 'access' to homes that we found our own. When we started our search in Reno, a friend recommended Jack. From the very beginning Jack made an impression. From his courteous, professional, yet personal approach. He sent us a packet with all sorts of info. Everyday I got a list of homes within our parameters. It took a while to get some we were actually interested in, but he kept us positive that the right house for us would come along.. He was right! Since we were relocation to Reno, we had to maximize our few visits. One Sunday he spent a good portion of the day showing us homes in different areas. In fact, the house we purchased was the first house we saw with him and funny enough he tried to talk us out of it.. He told us that day was meant for checking out neighborhoods, not necessarily the houses.. The home buying process is quite the process. Lots of details and some things are just over your head if that is not what you do everyday.. Jack was great at explaining things as they came up and was not satisfied until we were satisfied. It's also a great thing when everyone you deal with along the way (financing, inspectors, title etc) all have nothing but wonderful things to say about your realtor :) Jack is a solid realtor.
