About James

Raised in Middletown CT, Jim Didato attended Xavier High School before heading south to Florida Atlantic University, majoring in Psychology. In 1999, he returned to his home state of Connecticut and immediately began his career in Real Estate.

Jim has been a Top Producer from the year 2002 and has received numerous awards including the highest of awards in Real Estate, Chairman's Circle, Chairman's Elite Club, President’s Circle, Honors Circle, Leading Edge Society, Top Listing Agent, and Top Selling Agent.

Jim worked for Raveis Real Estate before his team was recruited by Berkshire Hathaway Home Services in 2008, where his team won an award for #7 Team in the entire company for closed transactions and subsequently the Top 1% of all Realtors statewide for closed unit sales. Jim also won Top 100 out of 1900 Realtors. His Team, the Cardinal Group, is now largest team at Berkshire Hathaway in Connecticut.

His biggest competitive advantage when listing and selling homes is his knowledge of SEO (Search Engine Optimization), Social Media Marketing, and his personal website PropertyWhale.com. Jim created this website to enable clients to view all homes on the market in real-time, empowering them to view what Realtors view daily. PropertyWhale.com currently holds over 13,000 members, which makes it the #1 Realtor Website for number of subscribers looking to buy and sell in Connecticut. Jim can match many buyers and sellers before he even lists a home for sale.

Finally, what Jim loves best is being creative. He has figured out a way to help sellers save thousands of dollars in commission costs depending on the seller’s situation and transaction. Berkshire Hathaway is not a discount broker, however. It is one of the largest full-service brokers in the country backed by Warren Buffett’s reputation. Any reduced commission costs to a seller comes from Jim Didato only, not Berkshire Hathaway, and sellers should not expect any Realtor at Berkshire Hathaway to be able to reduce commission costs lower than market commissions. Jim can do this because he has scaled his business with 11 Realtors on his team. This enables him to pass commission costs onto you.

When he is not selling real estate, Jim enjoys Bikram Yoga, running, traveling the world, watching European soccer, daily meditation and he is an avid reader. He lives with his wife in South Glastonbury.
