A lifelong resident of New Hampshire, Jim grew up in the Lebanon/Hanover area and moved to Conway in 1972 after graduating from the University of NH. Jim is married with four grown children and has lived in the same place for the last 44 years. It is clear that he loves where he lives! For Jim, helping others find that special place to call home is what he enjoys most about real estate.
A licensed broker in New Hampshire and Maine, Jim services most of Carroll County in NH (Albany, Bartlett, Jackson, Chatham, Madison, Conway, Eaton, Freedom, Effingham, Ossipee, Tamworth and Sandwich) and part of Oxford County in Maine (Fryeburg, Lovell, Stow, Sweden, Brownfield and Denmark), plus the Bridgton area. Upon request, he has traveled up into Coos County in NH as well as the coastal areas of Maine and New Hampshire.
A very good listener and a great problem solver, Jim’s real estate experience covers a broad range of properties. From single lots to larger acreages/developments; challenging 1031 exchange transactions and larger commercial properties; or single family residences and condominiums, his 30 years of experience and calm professionalism will make each transaction as smooth and simple as possible.
Jim started his real estate career in 1986 as a salesperson for an independent firm, and quickly became a top agent in his area. Within two years he had obtained his Broker’s licenses in both NH and ME and became part owner of the firm. He through mergers and business changes until 2008, when he sold his interest and joined another real estate company as an agent. After a time it became clear that starting his own real estate company would be the right next step. In 2016 Jim Doucette Real Estate, LLC was formed and although the firm is new, the agent has many years of experience and hundreds of very happy clients and customers.
When not with clients, Jim enjoys year round mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, cross country skiing and almost any activity that is self propelled. That would include maintaining the homestead, cutting his firewood, helping in the vegetable garden and keeping the animals from complaining.
