About James

As a second-generation Realtor, following in his mother’s footsteps after her 50+ year career in Real Estate, Jim Presnell’s calling is to help you find a house that will become your home.

Licensed in both Georgia and South Carolina, with a passion for fulfilling clients’ needs since 1989, Jim has over 1,300 real estate transactions to date. Learning the values of commitment and entrepreneurship from his mom, Jim knew early on that a desk job was not for him. He enjoys interacting with clients, helping them find just the right space to fit their personal style.

Jim served in the U.S. Navy and is a Vietnam Veteran. Before Moving to Georgia, He worked at Union camp and did side work as a contractor. Those experiences carry over into how he serves his clients. With a background as a builder, developer, and investor, Jim approaches real estate from multiple levels, using all the tools at his disposal to best assist clients.

Combining over 50 years of experience, Jim and his wife and fellow Realtor, Cindy Presnell, created The Presnell Partners Real Estate Team. A Graduate of Realtor Institute (GRI), Jim is a Certified Negotiation Specialist (CNS), Certified Marketing Specialist (CMS), Certified New Home Specialist (CSP), Military Relocation Professional (CMRS), Council of Residential Specialist (CRS), and is REO and Equator certified.

As a Vietnam Veteran, Jim is a Life Member of the VFW. He enjoys hunting, fishing, woodworking, Gardening and spending time with family. Jim takes pride in serving the community and is active in building and repairing homes for Habitat for Humanity, Effingham. If you catch him riding around on his Harley, be sure to wave “hello.”

Jim is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, Savannah Association of REALTORS®, and Georgia Association of REALTORS® South Carolina Association of Realtors. After growing up on a working cattle ranch, Effingham Country was an easy place to call home. He serves clients in Effingham/Chatham/ Bryan/Bulloch counties and surrounding areas.
