When my fiancé and I started to look at houses, I was still living several states away while he was in town. Jamie met with Colin in his office in MHK and then they FaceTimed me in. Immediately, Jamie treated us like friends rather than clients. He asked us questions and got to know our likes and dislikes. After just searching through a few houses on his website, he was already able to tell what kinds of houses we would and wouldn’t like- he’s THAT good. By the end of the meeting, Jamie had already booked us several showings for the following week for when I was visiting.

We went to several houses a day, all around our schedule, and after the first few, Jamie knew if it would be a house we would love or hate before we even walked through the door. He never pressured us, rushed us, or made us feel annoying for what we liked/ didn’t like. We narrowed it down to two houses, but it was a big commitment and I wanted some time to think it over, which Jamie was more than happy to listen to. Our top choice ended up getting another offer on it just a day after we visited it. We needed to commit fast if we wanted it, but I needed to have another look before we did. Because I was just visiting and staying with my fiancé, I didn’t have a car while he was at work during the day. I told Jamie I wanted to visit the house again and he told me it wasn’t a problem at all and picked me up on one side of town just to drive me to the other side to look at the house. Who does that?! Jamie freakin Stecki does.

We ended up putting an offer in on the house and Jamie worked quickly and efficiently to present our offer and ultimately we won out over the other offers. After the inspection, there were some issues that needed to be fixed. The seller was dragging their feet on fixing it and wanted to just give us the money to fix it. However, with the terms of our loan, Jamie knew we would end up losing money if that happened. He stood his ground and fought for his clients. Not only did the seller fix everything, he also was able to negotiate us receiving cash at closing as the buyers. Now I’m not saying everyone will get that, but I am saying that Jamie will do whatever he can for his clients to be able to hand them keys and a check at closing.

At the end of the day, if you want a realtor committed to you and who makes you feel like you’re his only client, then you’ll go with Jamie. Jamie was attentive to our wants and needs, followed through on his word, and fixed any issue that came up to make the house buying process as easy as possible for us. He’ll offer up recommendations to us still if we want to get work done on the house. I love our house and I’ll be sad to sell it when the army tells us we have to move, but you better believe I already have Jamie on speed dial to sell our house when that day comes.

I cannot recommend this man enough. I have friends across the country who are to the point in life where they’re buying their first house. They reach out to ask me questions about the process or what they should be doing and consistently I have to say “Honestly, I’m not sure. My realtor took care of that”. He is just simply and purely the best. You can stop searching for a realtor now, you’ve found the guy you need to call.

I was moving to a new town and looking for a home. I had went to many open houses and met with other realtors that I didn't really feel a connection to. It was important to find someone that I vibed with. The minute I talked to Jamie I knew he was "the one!" He made me feel like he was working hard for me finding the perfect home. That was quickly accelerated when we sold our home in one day and was on a time crunch to find another. He went above and beyond on a Memorial Weekend showing us houses. Thank you Jamie!

Jamie took care of us from the very start. As first time home buyers, we didn't really know anything about the process. He walked us through every step of the home buying process, and made sure that we found a home that fit our needs and was within our budget. He never got frustrated with our countless questions and showed us many, many houses until we finally found the right one. My wife and I relocated to Kansas from Colorado. We came into Manhattan over a long weekend and Jamie had several properties for us to look at. Jamie also gave us a tour and overview of Manhattan, and that was super helpful and helped us get a better feel for local culture. We found the house of our dreams and we were under contract as we were on our way back to Colorado!!! Jamie took such great care of us as we worked through the process, seamlessly! From inspection to appraisal and everything in between and finally closing, very professional and thorough!
