About Jamie
Jamie started in real estate in New York City by writing about it – covering homes and interior design for Condé Nast House & Garden and Dwell, and personal finance for Money, Fortune, and Investopedia. Her first real estate purchase — a pre-war, 350-square foot, 4-floor walkup studio — helped pay for college.
She and her family started coming to southern Vermont in 2015, and 2020 they felt lucky to finally call the mountains home. Rather than writing about people and their homes, she began actively helping people find homes as a Realtor®, also using her finance background to establish herself as an expert in the intertwined financial and emotional sides of buying a home.
In her first few years of real estate, she worked with wonderful clients including second-home purchasers, primary-home purchasers, investors, retirees, young families, skiiers, entrepreneurs, and one wedding production company. She kicks off the process with a deep-dive into buyer and seller goals, market research, and an articulate road map; she then leads the way by communicating about strategy and deadlines, expectations, and best practices. She brings to the buying/selling process an appreciation for its significance, and a sense of joy around the next step that it represents to buyers and sellers alike.
Jamie enjoys cooking with family, writing, yoga, tennis, and the attempt to become a better gardener.
She always wishes she had never sold that 350-square foot studio.
