Janet is the best. She helped us purchase our first home and worked closely with us through a long buying process. Janet is extremely knowledgeable in real estate; she took extra time and effort to walk us though the process and answer numerous questions we had along the way. Her love and expertise of the Philadelphia and surrounding area comes though in her work. She was a pleasure to work with and I would gladly recommend her to friends or family looking in the Philadelphia area.
*Updated to add* Janet continues to support my real estate questions years later, and even though we aren’t officially in the buying or selling process right now, gets back to me immediately when I have related inquiries. Her support doesn’t end when the paperwork is signed, she truly is the best and goes above and beyond for her clients.

Janet was an exceptional agent, and the perfect person to pilot us through our first home-buying experience.

Knowing next to nothing about the buying process, we got in touch with Janet online. She promptly called us on the phone and gave us a run-down of how things work. We were very impressed with her experience and professionalism, so we set up a showing for a property we were interested in. We looked at a number of houses with Janet, and she was always very knowledgeable about the structural and technical aspects of each property. During our walkthroughs, she pointed things out that we wouldn't have thought of, and was very informative. She knew a lot about each neighborhood we looked in, both currently and historically, which was super helpful to us. We also really appreciated her responsiveness and flexibility, always working around our schedule to meet at showings, often with very short notice.

What really stuck out to us was that Janet was not trying to sell us the houses we were looking at -- she would show us, give us all the info we needed, and help guide us through our decision-making process. We really appreciated that we never felt pressured to put an offer in, but we always felt supported in whichever decision we made.

We are so grateful that we got in touch with Janet to help us with this process. Even within an especially tough market, Janet knew the tricks to help us stand out and get our dream home. With her extensive knowledge of the real estate world and years of experience, she was the perfect fit for us as first time home buyers. 10/10 would recommend!!

We are sincerely thankful having Janet Ames as our realtor. She made it really easy for us. Janet is exceptional in her service. We love her honesty, knowledge and communication. She will not trying to talk you in to buying a home just because she can. Janet gives her honest opinions about how good or bad a home is and let you decide what's right for you. She gave us great advice on factors of buying a house.
Janet is very professional, responsive, compassionate in doing her job. We absolutely and would highly recommend Janet to all our friends and relatives who are looking for homes. We would love to work with Janet again if we ever looking for another house in Pensylvania.

Janet and I began discussing the sale of my mother's house two years ago. My mother was just not ready to move, but Janet kept in touch periodically. When the time was right I called Janet. I live in Florida so much of interaction was by phone or email. I went to Philadelphia for a few weeks to move my mother and make arrangemnets for selling her house. That was the first time I met Janet.
She came to see my mother and immediately put her at ease, and walked her through this process, which in itself was very emotional. My mother is 93 and has lived in that house over 40 years.
Janet organized a game plan, cleaning the yard, helped with an estate sale, cleaning of the house and removal of old furniture and 40 years worth of stuff. Janet had the relationships to get all of this done, much of it after I had left to return to Florida.
I had complete and total trust in her ability, her honesty and integrity, even going so far as to leave signed checks with her for work that had not yet been completed.
Her communication, attention to detail and professionalism are outstanding, and I could not give her enough stars for the job she did for us. She is a must if you are selling or buying in the Main Line area.

I just purchased my first home with Janet. She is incredibly knowledgeable of the industry and has great and helpful contacts to help make the process of purchasing a home as smooth and easy as possible. Janet is easy to get along with and incredibly hard working. Having never purchased a home before, I wasn't sure what to expect along the way, but Janet was there and guided me with confidence and my best interest at heart.
