About Jase

Jase was born and raised in Powder Springs, Ga and was fortunate to find his true love for the outdoors early in his life on his family tree farm in Abbeville, Ga where he cut his teeth hunting and fishing between sports as a kid. He played college football as a running back and earned a B.S. in Forestry from Sewanee: The University of the South. He earned a Masters of Forest Resources from the University of Georgia with an emphasis in Forest Business. Following graduation Jase joined The Westervelt Company at their headquarters in Tuscaloosa, AL where he worked in Silviculture, Harvest Planning, & Woodflow. He was quickly promoted and transferred to the Atlantic Region office in Statesboro, Ga. where he oversaw land and timber acquisitions for 3 states (Georgia, South Carolina, & Virginia). Jase helped Westervelt acquire 81,000 acres during his time there and managed a timber portfolio consisting of 180,000 acres.

Jase joined Oakwood Realty Group in 2023 and is licensed in the state of Georgia. Jase is a leader in his industry, as exemplified by his many leadership positions and deep relationships throughout the Southeast. His passion for people and the outdoors allows him to excel as a land broker. His significant expertise in land acquisition, forestry and land management is a major asset to his clients and perfectly exemplifies our motto of Trust and Expertise.

Prior to joining Oakwood, Jase founded Brooks Land & Timber in 2020 to assist his clients in owning, managing and enjoying their land investments. Brooks has over 50 long term management clients and growing. Jases’s expertise, as well as the entire Oakwood Habitat Team are available to our clients during and after the sale to ensure their investment in land is a successful one.

Jase and his wife Tara reside in Statesboro, Ga. with their son James and are expecting baby number two in July.
