His name is Jason Childress, but most people call him Jay. He grew up in Taylor County and has always enjoyed raising horses and fishing.

After an auto accident when he was 13 years old, he knew he would pursue a career in Law Enforcement to help save lives, do his part to make the community safer, and help others make better life choices. He has also been in the business, finance, and retail industry for 31 years. He met the love of his life, Bridget, 25 years ago, and she also shares his passion for horses. They have a son named Dylan, who is a senior at Green County High School. Dylan is a skilled laborer doing property renovations, among other things. Family, friends, and staying involved with the community through food drives, security at high school games, and dabbling in politics are just a few of Jay's passions.
