About Jean
Jean Gatlin grew up in the rural farming area of eastern North Carolina where she learned hard work and what it took to be successful. These strong work ethics have guided her successful real estate career since she began her career in 1994. She has been a multi-million dollar producer from the very beginning and has been the recipient of many awards. She receives accolades for her exemplary customer service; receiving Quality Service Awards from her company and also awards for Top Listing Agent in volume and units, as well as Top Sales agent in units. Always aiming to be the most informed and professional, Jean has earned the ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) National Designation and the Certified New Home Specialist Professional Designation. (CNHS).
Through her walks of life she has also worked for General Contractors building high rise commercial building and learning all phases of construction from the ground up. She also worked for a structural steel company sales and accounting positions. When Jean started wearing the real estate sales “hat”, her clients were able to benefit from her construction knowledge. She also has built some of her own homes, and has re-habbed homes as well.
Jean moved to Asheville from the coast in 1989 and now feels that she is as much a native as her husband Mike! (It just took her longer to get here.) When time allows she enjoys gardening and she and Mike enjoy boating and fishing and motorcycle rides on Mikes Harley. Her grown son and the family cat “Alley” completes their family.
Her husband is a bone marrow donor and that has led them both to be highly active for the American Red Cross and Jean also contributes back to her community working with Eliada Home, ABCCM and Western Carolina Ministries.
Jeans success in real estate is due to her really listening to what her clients needs and wants are, and then putting her knowledge of the area and the market to work for them. Her working relationship with her clients evolves into her clients being “Clients and Friends for Life.”
