Jeffrey Cruz

Jeff Cruz joined the Rumson Office of Weichert, Realtors in January of 2013 focusing on clients in Monmouth and Ocean counties. To further his career and open new real estate opportunities, in 2017 Jeff became a licensed NJ Real Estate Broker. In addition to assisting buyers Jeff also oversees a series of LLC's formed to acquire, develop, and manage select investment properties primarily in Red Bank, Highlands and Hoboken, NJ.

Jeff Cruz began his career in the Heavy Civil construction business at the age of seventeen working for E.E. Cruz and Co. on their maiden project. Jeff's hallmark was instilling a corporate culture of safety in the company. Under Cruz familial ownership, E.E. Cruz completed over a billion dollars in critical infrastructure projects and became an ENR Top 400 construction firm. After 22 years, Jeff sold his ownership interest to pursue Real Estate opportunities full time.

Over his career, Jeff ventured beyond the family firm to lead the greater construction industry. Most notably he got elected President of the Associated General Contractors Association of NJ (AGC), a group dedicated to representing the labor, safety, and lobbying interests of the state's largest construction companies. Jeff made his mark as Chairman of the AGC Labor Committee successfully negotiating key union contracts during his tenure.

Jeff is a former member of the Board of Trustees of The Peddie School, in Hightstown, NJ., his alma mater. In May of 2014, he was appointed to the Board of the Rumson Country Day School in his hometown, where he is a member of the Investment Committee and Chairs the Building and Grounds Committee. A antique automobile enthusiast and collector, Jeff founded the Monmouth County Concours d'Elegance, New Jersey's premier charitable automobile exhibition created to assist local area youth. Since its inception in 2008, the event has raised over $800,000 dollars for New Jersey kids in need.

Jeff currently resides in Rumson, New Jersey with Mary, his lovely wife of 26 years. The couple have four children, Michelle, Connor, Taylor and Olivia, and two grandchildren.
