Jen is hands down a top tier agent in the Arlington Heights area. She has an expansive knowledge of the area, a great ability to recognize value, and some serious negotiating savvy that really make the experience a lot less stressful. Jen was always available, even at unreasonably late hours when we’d reach out to her. She really makes you feel like you are her only or most important client. We love our new neighborhood, but if we ever feel the need to move again, we will surely be reaching out to Jen.

Highly recommend Jen Ortman as a realtor to sell your house. She is attentive, responsive and knows the Arlington Heights market. Helped to sell my house in record time with multiple offers. Her staging suggestions and great photography to advertise were key drivers of a successful busy open house. Really enjoyed working with Jen! My husband and I are first time buyers and I had a ton of questions. She is very knowledgeable and always explains everything super detailed. When we go to see the properties, she will also help us keep an eye on potential issues and let us know what options we have if we were to proceed with that property. That made it a lot easier for us to determine whether we want that property and deal with a potential issue or just pass. Will definitely work with Jen again, really trustworthy!

Cannot express how great it was to work with Jen as our realtor to find our new home in the NW suburbs in Fall 2018. She is an expert on single family homes in the Arlington Heights/Mount Prospect area (where we were interested) but also has a much wider range in Chicagoland. She was so thourough and attentive to searching new listings, scheduling tours around our crazy schedule and ultimately helping us find just the right home for our young family! Jen really listened to our needs and gave her thoughtful advice on all things real estate. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new home!

We had to sell my Moms condo. I interviewed 3 agents from different real estate companies. All of them were professional but I found that I related best with Jen. She was very easy to talk to and seemed very honest and straightforward.
The condo that I was selling had previously been under contract so all of the furniture had been removed. When the potential buyers reneged I was left with an empty place to sell. The other agents wanted to take pictures & work computer magic to have furniture in the pictures. I felt that doing that would still not show my condo in the best way when potential buyers came to see it. Jen also estimated the listing price almost $10,000 higher than the other 2 agents. (It’s easy to sell cheap.)
Jen had furniture & accessesories that she placed in the condo to really stage it. The pictures matched what buyers would see when they entered the unit. That was an important differential for me.
The unit sold in a few weeks but the new buyers were difficult to deal with. Jen stood her ground to keep the price as high as possible.
Jen is a professional and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend using Jen Ortman!

My wife and I had a uniquely challenging home search due to competition from other buyers, seller quirks, and inspection issues. It lasted much longer than we expected. It would have been an absolute nightmare if it hadn't been for Jen. She was a trusted advisor throughout the process, and was always there with some perspective for us to keep the process enjoyable. I would 100% recommend her, and will use her again when we decide to move again!
