This was my first time buying a home and Jerome made it easy and less scary. He had great connections for the inspection and lending process. The home we ended up falling in love with and buying wasn't even on our radar and Jerome found it. I already plan on using Jerome as my realtor when it's time for my second home.

Jerome worked with us at the end of winter when there were very few listings. By viewing several properties with him we got a better idea of what we were really looking for until we found our dream home! Jerome also helped to get us a good offer on the sale of our old house even though it was in need of updates. Jerome was always very responsive and guided us through all the legal documentation involved. I would highly rate and suggest Jerome for any of your realty needs.

Jerome was an awesome realtor to work with. He provided us with all the information we needed about the current housing market and gave us great suggestions on quick improvements in order to get the most out of the sale of our home. He made sure we were kept in the loop about all updates and offers and really went to bat for us during negotiations. We moved about an hour away and on closing day he made a trip out to us to make sure the closing documents were signed so that the sale could go through without a hitch. I would highly recommend Jerome! He is easy-going, knows his business, and did an excellent job marketing our home. Call him up, you won't be disappointed!

I cannot say enough great things about working with Jerome. My partner and I were buying our first home together & the process could not have been smoother. And we were flying completely blind, so this feat came with no help from us. From our initial meeting, to sourcing/viewing homes, through closing, Jerome was phenomenal. We knew we wanted someone that fit our personalities & was chill yet on the ball and professional, & that’s exactly what we got with Jerome. And even though we’ve already found our dream home (thanks Jerome!), he has still continued to keep in contact in case we need anything. As first time homeowners, to say we felt overwhelmed by the process would be an understatement. Thankfully, Jerome helped us every step of the way. He was extremely knowledgeable and responsive if we had any questions or concerns. He gave advice when asked and clearly wanted what was best for my partner and I. You'll have a lot of options for agents in the Iowa City area. Jerome is the one you should choose. Knowledgable and experienced in all areas, he would be an excellent choice for anyone buying or selling property. For a first time home buyer (like we were), he is the kind of agent who will walk you through the process with patience, expertise, and dedication. He was an advocate for us and helped with decision-making when we needed guidance. He's trustworthy, dependable, and makes himself available whenever you need him. This guy halfway crawled into a basement crawlspace in a home we were considering just because he suspected there could be mold. His instinct was right. I don't know how many agents are that dedicated to the people they serve to do that. He genuinely cares about the people he works with. He knows what he's doing and understands things from multiple angles including understanding structural integrity and red flags. You can trust him-- and that's important when you're making an investment this big and in a market this confusing. He made a stressful process we didn't have experience navigating as smooth as possible for us. We truly can't recommend him highly enough. He's also LGBT friendly and you can be comfortable and confident if you're a part of that community working with him. If you're reading reviews on agents and trying to find the right one-- you've found him.

Jerome genuinely listens and pays attention to details. It was obvious that he was mindful of our discussions about our goals and needs when he showed us homes and in the homes he recommended we see. I also appreciated his extensive knowledge about real estate, his helpful and frank advice, and the resources he connected us to in the home-buying process. Buying a home is stressful no matter what, especially in the 2021 market, but Jerome made the process less so. (Realtors I've worked with in the past have had the opposite effect.) I feel very lucky that we found Jerome as a realtor and look forward to working with him again in the future if/when we are again buying or selling a home.

I had such a great experience working with Jerome Edwards. He was very great at explaining everything through the selling process. He went above and beyond to assist with every obstacle that I faced, from putting up the smoke alarm, working with the contractor doing the Derecho Repairs, helping me pack up the last minute stuff and garage before the buyer arrived for the final walk thru! Jerome insists we weren’t hard to please, but I am pretty sure we were. We ran him all over Benton and Iowa counties so that we could zoom tour houses. It wasn’t only COVID, but we were buying from Colorado. Jerome worked hard to understand what we were looking for and did a great job of finding good prospective homes for us. Professional, organized, and friendly are all adjectives we would use for Jerome, perhaps including long suffering in our case. Since we were looking for a place with possibilities rather than one that was all done we drew on Jerome’s experience in updating properties as we formulated our bids. After being outbid on two earlier properties, we scored our hilltop acreage. Jerome insured that the closing went perfectly. We have nothing but high marks for him in every area.

I can’t emphasize enough how much Jerome’s professionalism, knowledge, responsiveness, and positivity helped us navigate the home buying process with ease. We purchased our house from across the country and Jerome made the process work even though we had a difficult transaction with the seller after the derecho storm (not Jerome’s fault, at all). Jerome always went the extra mile, helping us arrange inspections with various tradespeople and inspectors. He has such knowledge of the area, of prices, and of older homes. We met Jerome when we scheduled to see a home we saw online. Right away he was super informative of the house we were seeing, answered all of our questions and even took some notes of what exactly we were looking for so he could send us more options - this impressed us right away.
