We couldn’t recommend Jess and her team any more than we do! The home buying experience had its ups and downs, like normal, but every challenge was with other parties, not Jess’s team. Regardless, Jess and Christina would jump in at any moment to question, advocate, problem solve, and rectify any situation or concern. When we wanted to see a house, Jess or Gina were there within a couple hours. When we wanted to submit an offer, it was submitted within less than 24 hours with a detailed explanation of comps in the area and recommendations to make the best offer. When we had a question about anything throughout the process, we got a detailed response even if it wasn’t their responsibility, even if they didn’t know the exact answer, even if it was outside of normal “business hours”, even if it was very time sensitive. When we were frustrated with the financial process, they not only listened but helped answer questions when the lender wasn’t as expressive, and they reached out to our other contacts to figure out a resolution. We could go on and on and on about how amazing Jess, Christina, and their team was throughout the whole process and even after. We will never work with or recommend another team. We will be forever grateful for them helping us get our dream home. ♥️

It has been 7 years since we purchased our home, and with the volatile housing market my wife and I were nervous to put our house on the market and start looking. I did a Google Search for best Realtors in Maryland. I received a list of names. I called 4 of them, Jessica's office was the quickest to respond. We met with one other realtor before meeting with Jessica.

Once we did meet, my wife and I immediately felt at ease with her. Her demeanor, knowledge of the area, and ability to answer our millions of questions calmed us.

We chose her for one simple reason, she listened! She made us relaxed and secure in her knowledge, that she would successfully and calmly guide us through the noise and confusion.

She and her team are extremely capable, organized, and thoughtful. We used her for both the sale of our current home, as well as the purchase of our new one. There were lists, tips and tricks, and plenty of communication to keep us always in the know.

Jessica knew exactly what value to place on our house, and walked us step by step to get our house ready to show. Her and her assistant Christina were amazing in guiding us through the process.

Once we sold, Jessica and Christina immediately switched from selling our house and focused on finding us our dream home. Again they listened to exactly what we were looking for. Then showed us houses that checked the boxes. They calmed my fears of taking on certain things like oil heat and septic.

Jessica expertly guided us through the offer and inspection process. Every inspector and worker we met had nothing but the highest compliments for her and her staff.

I can't say this enough, Jessica and Christina made us feel like family.

And not that we plan on it, but should we need a realtor again, she will be the first one we call.

One if we sold and did nothing, one if we invested a little money with suggestions on what to do and one if we sank a lot of money into a major renovation. We decided to go with her recommendations for smaller upgrades and boy did it work out! She coordinated the contractors and had the house painted, hardwoods refinished and the carpet replaced along with some other repairs in less than 2 weeks! The short version is Jessica is an amazing agent. She is personable, highly knowledgeable, reassuring and an absolute go getter! When she tells you that she is going to do something, you can take it to the bank that she will. It's rare that people not only do their job well, but go above and beyond on a consistent basis. Even the other agent ask for pointers when we were at closing! She was an absolute pleasure to work with and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Now the long version. I meant Jessica though a friend who was in the process of purchasing a home and using Jessica as his agent. Jessica did not know I was in search of a home or getting ready to sell mine so I got to observe her working, not trying to sell me on her services. She was very knowledgeable not only on the home buying process, but in the actual nuts and bolts and bones of the home. She could point out good repairs, shotty repairs and things that needed to be addressed that you probably wouldn't have noticed.

I had my friend pass my information along to Jess and she called exactly when she said she would call. Anyone that's had to work with someone from the service industry knows that that is a huge deal. We talked about what I was looking for and she was confident she could find me a great home. She valued my home at a higher value then I thought possible. And she was absolutely right Because it's sold for what she said it was worth. She also gave me a pre home inspection checklist. She essentially went around identified any flaws or repairs that may need to be done and gave me a list of things to make the house presentable and sell faster. I followed the list that she provided and it worked! She promoted our home for a few weeks before it actually hit the market and within 5 days we had over 30 people come through to look at the property. We had multiple offers within that first week. We picked the best offer and we were under way.

In the meantime she found us a home that fit all of our needs and criteria. We negotiated price cheaper than what we thought we could purchase it for. We got more money back in seller help that we thought to ask for. After the home inspection identified some repairs needed I picked some of the major ones and let the minor repairs go. She pointed out and advised that one of the repairs I was going to let go was actually quite costly and should have a professional do the work. We went with her instincts and she negotiated to have the seller make the repair to the tune of $2,700!

While that was going on, our first offer on the house we were selling actually fell through due to a facetious lender. Turns out their clients (the buyers) we're never actually approved due to a problem with their credit but the lender lied and gave them a pre-approval letter in hopes that they could fix the problem before we got the settlement! I found this information out on a Friday night at 8 p.m. Jessica stressed to me that we need it to get the house back on the market for an open house Saturday (the next day). Mind you we had boxes everywhere because we were three weeks away from moving and settling on our new house. I was upset to say the least and did not want to hear what Jessica had to say. But I followed her advice and once again it proved to be the right decision. The open house had close to 20 groups come through and we had four offers two days later. We were back under contract by Wednesday. Jessica again proved she does know the market and this job incredibly well. The whole ordeal only set us back 10 days I feel most people in our situation that would have been a death blow and we would have lost the house we were trying to purchase.

They were ups and downs throughout the whole process. No transaction this large goes smoothly but any problems that did arise we're really not problems for Jessica. She had a constant line of communication between the selling agent the buying agent my loan officers and us.

Ellen and Jon: Jess is a wonderful and thoughtful realtor who came highly recommended from a friend of ours. We bought our first house with her about 1.5 years ago and couldn't be happier. We had come from renting in the DC area for 7 years and just couldn't afford anything there. I had lived in Baltimore for a year before that and loved it, so my husband and I thought we would look here. We weren't as familiar with the area, so she spent quite a bit of time learning our preferences (close to the MARC), musts (older home with a basement in a decent school district), and quirks (arts and crafts style house). Due to our preferences, there weren't a lot of houses in our price range. Jess took the time at each of the houses we saw to learn what we liked (character!) and could not live with. We entertained the idea of a short sale for a while, and Jess took time to walk us through the process, how long it usually takes, what it means for the house and us if we get it. Thankfully, we found our beautiful home a few days later. She called us the day it went on the market and scheduled something same day - she knew it would sell quickly. We were able to get in 2 visits in 5 days and put in an offer. We were one of 4 potential buyers. Due to her negotiations with the seller's agent, we were selected! The inspector she recommended spent over 5 hours inspecting our small house. Our family friend - who is an engineer and refinished several of his own houses - who was with us during the inspection was very impressed. Jess explained the things the inspector found and helped us determine what we could do ourselves (huge help!), what wasn't worth asking for, and what the sellers should fix. She fought for us and negotiated a fair reimbursement when the seller refused to remove some rubble and rotted wood under the porch and stopped taking care of the pool (turned green - so gross) after promising in writing to close the pool for the season before turning over the house. Jess gave us recommendations for fantastic painters and a floor refinisher, which were more affordable than who we found. The lender she also recommended had competitive rates, returned my calls promptly, and spent a very long time explaining the loan contract. As an aside, the whole Remax New Beginnings office is spectacular. They hold regular fundraisers for local children's hospitals and parades through the town. They really go out of their way to give back to the community. In short, if you're buying your first home (or any home!), you'll have a great experience with Jess! We love our house and owe a great deal of that to her and her hard work

Jessica Clausen did a stellar job helping my family navigate all the steps that were needed to sell our house. She had solutions to every single problem and communicated well between all parties involved in the process.
