I was referred to Jenn Feinman in CT. Since I was going to be searching for a while in CT before my house out of state sold, Jenn was very supportive of my needs and provided me with excellent suggestions for the areas in which to search and my requirements for price ranges. She was extremely knowledgeable about the area/town that the house was in, and on different aspects of the home. As we went through the house and talked w/her we were 100% confident that we had found the one and that we wanted to put an offer in on it. Once the decision was made Jessica immediately started to work her negotiating magic and got us an AMAZING deal! Some of the demands I thought would be impossible to negotiate, but she made them happen. She really was looking out for our best interest, and I swear she wouldn’t sleep until she got us the absolute best deal that she thought she could. I worked with Doug Hagen - it was such an exciting time for us. We were out of state and had to do all of our viewings remotely and Doug made that easy for us to do. He made sure to give us a realistic idea of the area and the houses. He worked with my mom when she came to visit one and was very nice when I came to see the house for the inspection.

We were considering relocating to Connecticut, and though our plans have changed, we want to make sure that we pass on our awesome experience with Timothy Johnson and the Starr Team.
When we obtained our pre approval and reached out to a handful of realtors, we were immediately impressed with Tim and went with our gut in choosing him. The initial impression we got from that first call was what Tim then proved through all of our interactions from that point forward: professional, kind, and ready to work for us. He exceeded that impression over the next two months that we worked with him.
Tim met with us every single weekend on Sundays or Mondays to view at least 4 homes and sometimes 6 or more. He never once gave the impression that he was bothered or inconvenienced and in fact, he was so eager to help us and gain a clear picture of what we wanted that he would regularly ask us questions, email frequently, and send us new properties to review through the portal. Jennifer Feiman with Keller Williams was such an amazing help to my family. We are a military family who was stationed overseas when our next set of orders was made to Groton. Jennifer came recommended from one of our close friends and I knew if my friend would recommend Jennifer, that we couldn’t go wrong. And we did not. Jennifer was always amazing with communication from the beginning. Communication is a must, especially when you’re dealing with a 12 hour time difference. Any showings we wanted to take with potential houses, any questions as silly as they were, were always answered in a timely manner. She would record the showings, and the showings were always SO detailed. Every door, every cabinet, ceiling, every nook and cranny was recorded so that we could see for ourselves. She was honest with us when properties didn’t seem like the right fit for our family and we trusted her 100%. She always followed up to make sure tasks were done by the date it needed to be done. We’ve had realtors show us houses in the past and they couldn’t answer any of our questions and would say we had to ask the inspector. Doug was able to answer our questions and of course would advise us to check with the inspector to be certain but was able to help guide us. He was always very quick to respond and would set up showings that same day and if he was unable to do the showing he would send his colleagues who were also wonderful. We worked with Jenn Feiman from Starr Realty for our recent home purchase. This was our first time buying a single-family home and we absolutely could not have done it without Jenn. We started with a unique situation which only got more complicated as the process went on; Jenn handled everything like an absolute boss.
First of all, we had approximately one week in the area to find our new house... in the middle of COVID and a crazy housing market, no less. Jenn made herself completely available to us. When there was a house we wanted to see but Jenn had prior obligations, she immediately found a co-worker to help so we wouldn't miss the showing. Luckily for us as this ended up being our new home! With such a competitive market, Jenn used her real estate experience and knowledge to help us create the perfect offer to win the bid over various other offers.
Once our offer was accepted, still nothing came easy! We encountered many more complications including a complex inspection which resulted in the need for a new septic system, a severe under-appraisal, and a non-functioning key at the closing. Jenn guided us through these murky waters with confidence and ease.
Jenn was an expert in the area and the particulars of the homes in this area. She knew way more than we did about the utilities and systems which was such a life-saver. Jenn also had great knowledge of the military systems, housing, loan options, etc. so if you're a Navy family moving here, look no further for a realtor. She always left the final decisions with us but provided her experience and expertise to help guide our way. She was available and communicative throughout the entirety of the process.

We had a bit of a blind move in that we had never visited Simsbury before choosing to relocate there from Colorado. Because of that, we wanted the best agent who truly knew the ins and outs of the area. We posted in local Facebook groups, and BY FAR Jess was the most recommended agent out of hundreds of comments. My wife and I just completed our move to our new home in Simsbury from Florida amidst the pandemic. Jessica and Nancy were amazing partners and went out of their way to make sure we found the right for us. It's the little things that mattered to us. They made sure we were well informed on everything, and took care of everything for us. Having to do everything remotely can be daunting and Jessica made sure that all the people involved talked and got the needed materials on-time.
Our first property fell through on inspections, and literally the next day Jessica had us on a FaceTime walk-thorough of the home that eventually became ours. She made sure that we had top-notch inspections so that we knew what we were getting into. Beyond this, she is still checking in on a regular basis making sure we are finding the things we need (like various service vendors, resturants, etc), and generally making sure we feel welcome here in Simsbury. Nancy who handled the transaction with our mortgage company was phenomenal and was diligently working to make sure all our paperwork was ready all while the Tropical Storm was ripping across the area.
We could not have asked for more from a realtor and team, there is not a SINGLE THING we wish had gone better or have been handled better, that was within her control. I unequivocally recommend Starr Realty with 5-Stars and she will be our go-to for as long as we live here. Anyone moving to CT/Western MA should call Starr Realty first.

Jess was very helpful in providing guidance around staging, and general home prep prior to listing the home, including changes to decorations, she also recommended paint colors and yard work. She gave feedback on the changes and decor in real time, and provided an amazing photographer to take photos for the listing. The time came for us to move out leaving the home empty and having to manage things at the CT home from another state. Jon came over and staged a room so that the home still felt warm and welcoming. She gave us recommendations for service providers, including lawn services, house cleaning, electricians, plumbers, etc. When we eventually went under contract Jenn Feinman was an amazing support. Stephen was great, he really took the time to get to know us and what we were looking for in a house. Let me tell you about our realtor Jess Starr and Starr Realty- Simply put she is amazing. First, she sold our home in three days. Three days! But even more important than that, she treated us as if we were selling $1 million home; gave us so much care and attention when we were just selling a sub 250 ranch. Your hear people say “we treat you like family” all the time. Very few live up to that, but Jessica is the exception! She treated us like family from the first conversation on, and made us feel completely taken care of. Our situation was a tricky one. Not only were we moving across the country, but we had a small window of time to find a place and close. Jess made us feel comfortable, that we were in good hands, but most importantly that everything was going to work out. And this was all before meeting her in person! Once we arrived here with the seemingly impossible task of finding a place in two days, Jess was better than we could have ever imagined. We had heard wonderful things about the fabulous Jessica Starr, and Starr reality group, so we got in touch with them when we were getting ready to list our home. Jess personally came out to our home the very next day, did a walk through, and was completely open and honest with us on what we needed to do to stage the home properly. It was obvious she knew what she was talking about, so we followed her instructions to a tee.
One week prior to listing the home she came out again to take a sneak peak video, grab a few pictures prior to her professional photography crew coming, and got the word out that our home was coming to the market soon. The day we went live, our inbox was flooded with appointments, and within 2 days we were in a multiple bid situation and went under contract. My husband and I found ourselves in a situation where we found our “forever” home, but we needed to sell our house before we could close on the house of our dreams. One of my favorite things about Starr Realty Group is their unique approach to selling their listings, and marketing them. They use current technology, the internet and social media to their advantage, and by doing this they tap into a much larger audience than print ads alone can. Jessica and her team always kept in contact with me and my husband through the entire process, and were always available for questions when we needed them. Everyone on the team was professional, while at the same time extremely personable. They really go out of their way to make you feel like more than just a client/customer, but rather a friend that they want the best for and that they want to see succeed in the selling process. The Starr Realty team went above and beyond in the purchase of our Enfield home. They were available to us often (even with many other things going on in their lives) and were fair and direct with their knowledge and advice. We were so blessed to work with people that we felt truly cared about how happy we would be in our home past the closing. From Jess to Jen to Sue and Sarah, everyone was wonderful and responsive especially with the million nervous questions I sent in the days and weeks leading up to the closing. Jen must have looked at well over 30 houses with us and never got frustrated or aggravated with us (or at least let it show!) even if we did end up buying the very first house we looked at! I recommend Starr Realty to everyone I meet who is looking for a realtor!

Scott was an excellent agent that helped find the perfect first house within my budget. He is very in tune with what you are capable of managing as well as responding quickly throughout the entire purchasing process (and even after the close). If you are looking for a home in Connecticut, I strongly urge you to use Starr Realty group; the excellent communication as well as being a buyer's agent only group makes them wonderful to work with.
