About Jill

Jill is a Top Agent with thirteen years of experience which has resulted in hundreds upon hundreds of Happy Clients and closed deals! Jill was proud to earn the Platinum Level Circle of Excellence award for her high volume of sales in 2021. In 2022 Jill personally closed $28 million in home sales. Jill also was awarded the "Best of Zillow" title for 5-star reviews and service in addition to being honored as a Five Star Real Estate Agent for 2022-2023 by Real Trends-which ranks her in the top 1% of all Real Estate Agents in NJ! Jill is excited about her latest venture, joining the Compass Brokerage in 2022--the #1 Brokerage in Maplewood and #1 National Brokerage and starting her own team, The Jill Sockwell Group.

Jill began her real estate career 13 years ago and prior to that was a Copywriter at various Advertising agencies in NYC. Jill's strong business background in marketing made it quite seamless to parlay her advertising and public relations experience and client service background into the real estate world. Jill still finds time to write and Jill's first book, The Optimist's Guide to Divorce, was published by Workman in 2017. Jill is active in her community and in 2013 started a local divorce support group, Power of One Single Mother's Network-which has grown to over 400 members. Jill also joined The South Orange Elks Club in 2019 as well as serves as an active member of the Columbia High School Track/Field Parent's Association.

Jill enjoys working with Buyers and Sellers alike.
