Jim King is a lifetime resident of West Michigan helping people to buy and sell real estate in the place he is proud to call home. He is a graduate of Greenville High School, Grand Valley State University, and WMU Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Grand Rapids. After two years of practicing law, Jim made the professional leap to start a career as a Realtor. With the support of his wife, Jill, he has found plenty of success and fun in a career that he is passionate about.
Jim is known for effectively communicating with his clients, helping them to understand and de-mystify real estate transactions, and having fun throughout the process. He loves to laugh with his clients, and his favorite part of his job is when he can turn clients into friends.
Jim’s goal in any real estate transaction is to create confident clients. In every situation, Jim thoroughly explains the process, educates his clients on market trends, and helps them feel confident when they sign their name to a purchase agreement. As an attorney and Realtor, Jim has the knowledge and skills to effectively represent his clients’ best interest.
Professionally, Jim has been a member of the Grand Rapids Association of Realtors Governmental Affairs Committee, a recipient of the Greenridge President’s Award for outstanding customer service, and is a graduate of the GRAR Leadership Academy. He is the past chair and current member of the West Michigan Regional Forms Committee, which drafts the forms used locally in buying and selling real estate. He is constantly engaging in continuing education, and he considers involvement with the local real estate community the best way to stay on top of issues in an ever-changing real estate market.
Jim and Jill live in the Rockford area with their daughter, Elizabeth, and son, Evan. They enjoy camping and spending time on Murray Lake in Lowell in the summer and enjoy going to Griffins Hockey games in the winter. Jim is Committee Chair of Scouts BSA Troop 8228 and a member of the Rockford Rotary. They love everything that Grand Rapids and West Michigan have to offer, and Jim considers himself as an ambassador for the region, often helping people who are relocating to the area make themselves feel at home.
