A proud resident of Sandpoint since 2002, Jimy Black has built a life and career rooted in the local community. Jimy followed his wife, Nicole, back to the town she grew up in, and together they’ve made Sandpoint their home for over two decades. They have an 18-year-old son and enjoy everything the beautiful region has to offer, including time spent hunting, exploring the outdoors, and relaxing on Lake Pend Oreille.
In his early years in Sandpoint, Jimy spent time working in construction, gaining hands-on experience in building homes. This invaluable background led him to become a real estate appraiser, a profession that allowed him to refine his understanding of the market and hone his expertise in property valuation.
In 2012, Jimy’s childhood best friend and future business partner, Jake Humble, relocated to Sandpoint with his family. The two quickly joined forces in the appraisal business, where they saw firsthand the incredible opportunities in the real estate market. With Jimy’s construction background and Jake’s business savvy, the duo soon transitioned into real estate investing. From flipping houses to spec construction and subdivision development, they navigated every aspect of real estate with determination and insight.
In 2020, Jimy earned his real estate license, and the Humble and Black Real Estate Team was born.
