I’m so glad we chose to enlist Joanna’s expertise for our home buying experience! My husband and I moved to Frederick County from out of state and had conflicting ideas of what we wanted in our next home. Joanna asked all the right questions and constantly sent houses our way, listening closely to our feedback on each property. She worked with us for 5 months until we found The One. Her positivity, great ideas and buying strategy led to an accepted offer. Then, she expertly liaised with the seller’s agent on all of our questions, the inspection and further negotiations. My motto has always been life is what happens while making other plans. We were talking to Joanna about putting our house on the market and she started helping us look for a new home. We found our dream house before we even put our old one on the market. It is a very special house and there was a great deal of interest in it. Joanna helped us put together an offer that beat out 17 other offers by identifying what would be most attractive to the sellers. She then pivoted to developing strategies to quickly sell our existing home. There are many challenges in the overall buying and selling process, and Joanna manages to navigate them adeptly with professionalism and a sense of humor.

We saw a home we wanted to buy, but Joanna just closed on that home with another client of hers. We keenly kept Joanna in our sights, as we wanted another house just like the one she just sold. After a new car, a new baby, and a new year later, we connected up with Joanna again, and she helped us find another amazing place that we are proud to call home. We are demanding, and unrelenting, most times- frayed, but she kept us focused, and she was determined to reject the bad houses, and focus on the right houses within our means.

You don’t get good tea or coffee unless the pot boils. From the very beginning Joanna Brown always took the initiative and put in the effort to really make our home buying experience a success. She helped us figure out the homes we didn’t want even though that was what we originally thought we wanted. Even though we changed our minds on a couple of things along the way, she adapted and was always respectful as she helped us understand the Frederick housing market and kept bringing more homes to us until we found the right one. This was the first time we've been on the seller side and Joanna helped us through the entire process! I was so nervous about selling during COVID19. Would we lose money? How long would it take to sell?

I was so lucky to find Joanna. She had so much knowledge about my neighborhood. She had sold several homes in the area and actually lived right around the corner! Joanna was also so responsive to texts, emails, and phone calls. If I had a question, she was there to answer it. She was super proactive with the sale of our home and took her own photos to list our house as coming soon to generate interest. Within a week our house was on the market and we had offers coming in days after listing. Even after settlement, she was still there to answer questions! I really wish I would've known her while living in my neighborhood.
