Jodi was our buyer's agent during a recent long-distance move. We were able to visit briefly and meet Jodi at the start of the search, when she made an effort to show us different property, neighborhood, and location types to get to know what we were looking for and also to help us get to know the area. She helped us through several virtual showings over the summer and we appreciated how forthcoming she was in her opinions about different aspects of each home. She helped us through several offers in this summer's difficult housing market, and finally closing on an ideal home last month. Jodi has all of the elements you would look for in a realtor - she is very skilled, professional, knowledgeable, prompt, and a pleasure to work with. Most professional and insightful realtor I’ve ever worked with
I actually began working with Jodi about three years prior to selling our house. She provided an assessment of my home following A failed attempt to sell the property during a divorce. She recommended changes and improvements we could make in advance of attempting a resale of the property.

Once we decided to put the house on the market again she provided additional up-to-date insights on fire trends and how to price and position the home. After our home was on the market for about 60 days she recommended minor adjustments to the Marketing and the pricing of our home which ultimately resulted in a successful sale.

We have bought, built or sold properties in Chapel Hill and Hillsborough 7 times over the past 16 years, through Jodi Bakst. We had great experience working with Jodi and her team every single time, and Jodi has become a good friend of our family over the years. Most of the transactions occurred when we were living away from Chapel Hill. Jodi would send us listings and would painstakingly preview properties that we thought might work for us. Sometimes she would work with us for years before we found one property we liked. Jodi typically handled the inspection, survey, closing and any other research we tasked her with, and her diligence was always meticulous. Jodi goes over and beyond her call of duty to help her clients both before and after closing. She has recommended to us skilled professionals to carry out repairs or improvements to the property both before and after sale. Jodi maintains good relationship with her clients well after a sale is completed. Since we are frequently away from town, Jodi periodically checks on our house especially after severe weather conditions, and we depend on her to let tradespeople in for maintenance or other work, years after the house was purchased. Once we purchased the home, she followed through with having he construction inspected each step of the way as we were not in state at the time. “You want to sell your house?” or “Your thinking of buying a house?” I say, “You must contact Jodi Baskt, let me tell you about Jodi!”

The year my husband and I decided to sell our house to purchase a different home, Jodi was the only realtor we considered. Personally knowing Jodi was a plus, but we also knew she’d be a professional, ethical, organized, and energized salesperson who’d not let our listing sit. After viewing our home, she had a few ideas for making the house more appealing to sellers. After addressing those small suggestions, we put the house on the market. The first day brought us three offers. One over the asking price.

We’ve recommended Jodi to our friends and family. One, whose house was a ‘work in progress,’ said, “Jodi was kind to me. I never felt that my house was below her like some other realtors with whom we spoke. When she was working with us, Jodi was focused, listening, and grasping concerns or needs, then tackling them directly. She has this knack of saying what needs to be said and getting heard, so the house sells. That is important.” Once Jodi put their house on the market, it sold in the first few days. It took a bit longer for our son-in-law and daughter’s house to sell, but that house was a unique custom build in a remote location.

In fact, she talked us out of a few houses that we were interested in bc she thought they were over priced.....we could tell she had our best interests in mind and that she was not just trying to complete the transaction. Jodi helped me in my search for a townhouse in Chapel Hill. After we did not find any listed properties to my liking, Jodi contacted owners of properties not yet listed or on the market, but in which she learnt I may have an interest,

I ended up purchasing such an off-market property, and it would not have happened without Jodi's considerable efforts and persistence.

After contacting the property owner, Jodi quickly established a great working relationship with the Seller and negotiated a tough but fair purchase contract on my behalf.

Her strong organizational and management skills guided the contract through due diligence and required repairs. Jodi also went above and beyond by scheduling and coordinating the repairs, painting, cleaning, etc. that made the house ready for my move in.

I have dealt with a few agents over the years, but I can say without hesitation Jodi provided the best service and guidance. It was my pleasure working with Jodi on my recent purchase, and I will certainly recommend her to any buyers/sellers who are in need of an agent. She is simply the best!
