Joe Sylvester

He was born and raised in Elkader. His wife and he raised their four children in Elkader. He also has two beautiful grandchildren; a granddaughter and a grandson.

He worked and owned our family business for 32 years until selling and purchasing a local convenience store in Elkader: CJ’s Convenience. He also started with Ole's 5 Star Realty in 2017. He had completed a real estate class many years ago, but with a young family, it just wasn't the right time to start in real estate. Things changing in the family business in 2017 brought him back to real estate which has always been in the back of his mind.

Since earning his license this has been a great career move for him and his family. It's not always easy but it is very rewarding working with customers helping them buy or sell their property. He will always go the extra mile if it's showing properties, negotiating, listing your property, or procuring a buyer for your property.
