It all started with his parents having an affinity for buying homes, fixing them up, and then selling… not an easy task for a family of seven. John grew up living in more homes than he can count (not really, there were 15). The time came for John to leave for college, chasing a dream of playing baseball. That dream quickly shifted to an interest in his property-rich landlords in Chico. Throughout his 6-year college career (maybe it was 5), John lived in a few of his favorite landlord’s rentals’ and from home to home their keen sense of real estate investing seeped into his bones. A true English major, John contemplated his existence and read Dickens in coffee shops (where he met his future wife, Sara) while John earned his living serving tables at some favorite local restaurants. Serving Chico’s well-fed, gave John more insight into the local real estate market and after graduation, John and Sara bought their first home together, rented it out, and moved to Italy where they taught English as a second language to high-level executives at FIAT in Torino, Italy. This career path eventually led him back to Chico to take advantage of the real estate growth happening at that time in Northern California.
Soon after returning to the States, he and Sara bought their second home and John started his career in the loan industry. It was in this capacity that he gathered the building blocks to take the next step into what would be his true passion; real estate.
John is extremely well-informed about the local community and the local real estate market. He is himself a local real estate investor and property manager. He is confident that his personal experience, communication skills, and industry knowledge give him the ability to list and sell a home with acute understanding, skill, and expertise. His familiarity with Butte County, connections within the community, and his past sales record indicate his success in the real estate industry.
