John is a lifelong resident of Westport, Massachusetts where he lives with his wife Bonny. They have two adult sons, Seth and A.J., who now live in Vermont and Michigan, respectively. John is a graduate of Westport High School, Bristol Community College, Salvé Regina College, and holds a Master of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Anna Maria College. He is also a graduate of the 200th Session of the prestigious F.B.I. National Academy in Quantico, VA.
John retired as the Deputy Chief of Police of the Westport Police Department in 2011 after 34 years of faithful service. Besides his position at Even Keel, John is a substitute teacher and coach in area school districts and an Assistant Harbormaster in Dartmouth.
John is a member and Past Master of the Noquochoke Masonic Lodge. He is a member and past Director of the Westport Land Conservation Trust. He is a member of the Westport River Watershed Alliance, Westport Fishermen’s Association, Westport Investment Novices, Boy Scouts of America, NorthEast Grand Banks Owners’ Association, and the realtors’ associations RASEM, MAR and NAR.
In 2003, he was invited to give the Westport Middle School National Junior Honor Society keynote address. He was also honored in 2008 when he was asked to give the commencement address at Westport High School.
John’s interests and hobbies include antiquing, duck decoys, wildlife art, travel, investing, scouting, boating, camping, sports, and scout patch collecting.
John is licensed to deliver property sales and service throughout Massachusetts but specializes in the areas of Westport and Dartmouth. He’s ready to roll up his sleeves and get to work for you! John says, “I’m ready to listen... Let’s talk!”
