Though he is lived in various cities throughout the area, Jon Wood has resided in East Bay his whole life. Born in Grass Valley and raised in Moraga, Jon has always loved the beautiful nature and vibrant culture Northern California has to offer--so much so that he chose to raise his two children in Walnut Creek for more than two decades and currently calls Lafayette home.
This passion for his community and familiarity with the neighborhoods he serves sets Jon apart as an agent, as his knowledge of the marketplace, school district, and overall vibe of the area is unparalleled. His myriad of local ties and flourishing network of connections within the community present clients with a huge advantage and a multitude of resources.
Jon has an exceptional track record. He gained his real estate license in 2005 while operating and investment group. In a little over a decade, he managed to close over 700 real estate transactions.
Jon entered the industry in 2005, was Rookie of The Year, and continued this success serving clients in Moraga, Orinda & Lafayette. Shortly thereafter in 2007, the financial crisis hit the real estate industry hard. Jon was fortunate to flourish during this time. Though this was a period full of immense pressure, Jon persevered and welcomed the challenge, viewing it as a growing opportunity. This positive attitude allowed him to thrive under the pressure and gain the reputation of being highly dependable, compassionate, and creative. He credits this time as one of the most valuable, professional and personal learning experiences of his life, saying the significant and varied workload essentially gave him an “MBA in real estate.” During this period, Jon gained creative problem-solving and fast-paced decision-making skills he continues to utilize today. He also made it a high priority to bring a level of compassion to the people being severely affected by the economic downturn.
