Buying your first property is very scary, but Jose helped me a lot in every step of the process. We had constant and fluent communication, he solved any issue and answered all my questions with the best energy. He was always available to jump on a call, or meet in person. Spanish is my first language so he was also able to translate when I was confused with the terms, and this was definitely a plus. I would 100% recommend him! Thank you Jose!

I walked into this process a nervous wreck with fears about what it meant to be a black first-time home buyer. It was an area I knew so little about, yet I felt simultaneously had such big expectations since I had worked on this life milestone for a while. Jose helped me through the process, educating me as we went along to understand the critical parts of how I could approach this process. At the same time, grounding my fears in facts and knowledge allowed me to let things of the irrational fears I had of the process. He understood that, for me, a lot was tied up in this process, and he wanted to ensure I came through it with a home and a good feeling about the experience. He made himself available to answer all my nervous questions with due care and attention. He shepherded me through a very intense process, ultimately allowing me to go from selecting him as my realtor to closing in two months. Top notch. Jose and Jenn really know the DC area market. We had Jose represent us for both buying and selling; he and his team came thru for us with both major transactions and during a turbulent time with interest rates about to change.

We made 3 offers with him and the 3rd time was a charm. Jose even suggested we go in lower on our offer price than we thought we needed to. We're so glad because every dollar is needed now to bring the home out of the 1950s! Jose listened to our concerns and gave helpful suggestions any recommendations, i.e. how we could make better use of our new basement.

Jose is amiable, easy to run ideas by and persistent with getting the job done- highly recommend him along with Jenn Smira!

As I began the homebuying process, I felt a bit intimidated. But from our first meeting, Jose Ramirez was indispensable, offering a wealth of knowledge on securing a property and immediately putting me at ease. Not only was Jose thorough in our search for a space that fit my needs, but he was also generous with information on the DC market at large. He has a great network, which made buying as easy as possible. Jose was often a step ahead in addressing any queries and was diligent in following up anytime he did not immediately have an answer. In my time working with Jose, I’ve been amazed at his eye for detail and how quickly he gets things done. Quite simply, you can trust that Jose will deliver. Friends and family that I’ve looped into the process were also impressed by his responsiveness and proactive manner.

Especially as we progressed toward my closing date (capping off a quick 3-week close), I appreciated Jose’s check-ins but, really, he has been thorough and attentive from the moment we began working together. Even after closing, Jose has been vital in helping rectify a minor, outstanding issue. His positive energy is infectious and has made what I thought would be an extremely stressful process a wonderful experience.

I trusted Jose completely throughout this process. From start to finish, he has gone above and beyond—serving as a trustworthy and reliable advocate, as well as becoming a friend. This is our second time purchasing a home, but the first time doing so in the DMV area. Jose was indispensable in the process as this is a tough market. He helped guide us every step of the way.

We were impressed by how fast he responded to all of our queries (and they were many). When he didn’t know the answer right away, he told us he would follow up and he never, ever forgot. He always pointed us in the right direction.

Jose is thorough and his attention to detail is impeccable. He is always on time. He plays hardball, but he knows how to be approachable and friendly while doing it. He helped us purchase our home under list price (a huge accomplishment in this crazy market).

It is evident that he has a great network and connected us to a lender that gave us the lowest interest rate (at a time when they were fluctuating and increasing quickly).

We would highly recommend Jose. Not only is he extremely professional, knowledgeable, and dependable, but his cheerful personality made this stressful process an enjoyable one.

Jose has made an extremely complicated moving process during Covid easy and simple. I really don't know how we would've done it without him. I highly, highly recommend Jose. I met him at an open house but decided that property wasn’t right for me. A couple days later, though, I saw one I loved and asked if he’d represent me. I’m a first time buyer, and this was my first formal offer. Jose jumped into action, kept me updated, and explained everything along the way. It ended up being a pretty quick negotiation and closing - only about a month total, which also ended up being the busiest month of the year for me at work. Despite all those circumstances, Jose made buying such a painless process. At the time, but especially as I look back, I appreciate how he adapted to my needs and approach as a buyer. Jose is an extraordinary real estate agent. He is professional, attentive, responsive, kind and understating - just a swell guy! I have purchased two homes with his help - my condo in Navy Yards DC and a beautiful contemporary house in Reston VA.

This guy knows his stuff and is networked to the nines! Any time I texted, called or emailed him with a question, he had an answer within minutes. He is proactive, follows up, makes sure you have your docs in order and directly connects to lenders, trust companies, sellers, agents, and whoever need-be to get things done with no delay.

My last purchase was a 15 day closing and was a mad rush, and Jose just plugged himself in and managed the whole affair to make sure all went smoothly and quickly, which it did, without any doubt. Thanks man!
