Joshua Nelson

Josh is the former founder, owner, and operator of three successful event venues—Blue Haven Barn, The Atrium at Blue Haven, and The Retreat by Blue Haven—which he managed from 2015 until their sale in March 2024.

Before entering the real estate and event management industries, Joshua owned and operated Drywall & More, Inc., a thriving construction company, from 2009 to 2020. He also gained valuable experience as a Project Manager and Estimator for Drywall Interiors in Dallas, TX, overseeing all aspects of large-scale commercial drywall projects from 2007 to 2009.

Josh’s career began with a strong foundation in the military, having joined the Army National Guard right out of high school in 2003 and serving for a decade. His commitment to service extends into his community involvement, where he has actively participated in various charitable initiatives, including the Sioux Falls Rotary Club, Reach Literacy Council, Habitat for Humanity, and serving meals at the SF Banquet.

Josh has built a career marked by entrepreneurship, leadership, and a dedication to serving others.
