My wonderful business relationship with The Julie Jensen Group began during Covid-19 in 2021. I needed to make a cross-country move from California to Chicago and picked Evanston because of its easy transportation to the city and proximity to Lake Michigan. I found Julie Jensen, Baird & Warner, online based on many other favorable reviews like this highlighting her local expertise, leadership and communication skills.

My 2021 purchase included a few challenges as I wasn’t able to come in person for any part of it including the closing. That was no problem for Julie and her team, including inspectors and attorneys. Julie found me a wonderful top-floor condo in a very competitive market. The property was actually in the private listing network (PLN) which Julie monitors constantly and has early access to. If you need to purchase sight unseen, Julie will be with you for the long run. She knows how to make you feel like you’re her only client. On my move-in day, she even made herself and her team available to meet the moving truck since I was still in transit to Evanston.

Ultimately, I decided that I wanted a waterfront view. In 2023, the market (especially waterfront) still lacked inventory but The Julie Jensen Group helped me tour (in person this time) several buildings in Wilmette. We made a couple of offers and ultimately after staying in touch with one particular listing agent, we landed my next home. Again, her team of vetted inspectors and attorneys kept my interests protected and the process as quick and easy as possible.

I feel lucky to have worked with Julie Jensen, Baird & Warner, on both my recent purchases. Her level of expertise, leadership and service goes above and beyond the closing table. In fact, she just left my home after helping me apply for my Cook County Tax Exemptions.

Soon enough, we will be listing my 2021 purchase with The Julie Jensen Group. I look forward to having them on the listing side as well.

Julie came to us as a referral from a trusted friend in the Evanston area. I was immediately impressed by her professional demeanor and down to earth personality! Although she has over 20 years experience as a realtor, I felt like she treated our home with the personal care and attention as if this was her first home transaction. I especially appreciated her expertise when we were in a situation where we needed to vacate our current home and buy a new place in a time crunch. My husband and I went on home tour after home tour and on an open house marathon. We needed to put in an offer and soon! At 3pm on one of our last house tours we found a house we were seriously interested in. We found out there were multiple offers on the house and deadline by 5pm! We immediately called Julie, who by the way, was working on her own open house for her own listing that afternoon. She immediately called in back-up and helped us compile an offer and submit. She called the sellers realtor to request a few hours extension which he kindly allowed. She helped us think through an offer (contingencies?/ how much time-to-close?/ what % down?/ inspections? etc.) to best represent ourselves. She even voluntarily enclosed a cover note summarizing our strong points to make our offer stand out. Needless to say, by that same evening, we so relieved and thrilled when our offer was accepted! We would definitely trust Julie's professionalism and expertise with our home needs again.

Julie was absolutely wonderful during all phases of listing and selling our home. She guided us through the process of preparing our house, marketing, choosing which offer to take, and negotiating details. She kept a calming ‘it’s under control’ presence as she fielded our questions and listened to our stresses. Having confidence in your realtor is essential and we had it from beginning to end! Julie marketed actively and effectively. Communication and response time was excellent. It was also nice to have the assistance of Bob so I was never worried she’d be spread too thin. We LOVED working with Julie across every dimension that I think is really important to find in a real estate agent that is working with you to find your next home. To start, we met Julie at an Open House as the listing agent - we were thoroughly impressed with her knowledge of the area, the broader real estate market (we bought in the insanity of the first 5 months of 2022), and the approach she took to learning about us as a family and what we were looking for in our next home. We had a WIDE geographic search given the market environment and Julie was so thoughtful about sharing with us different ideas for neighborhoods to look in given our criteria. We found a number of homes we loved and got into some very competitive bidding situations (as you can imagine) and Julie was brilliant in pulling together really creative offers that would stand out against the "all cash, way over asking, 2 weeks close, waived inspection offers" of the March/April 2022 craziness on the North Shore. We landed in a perfect neighborhood in a home that is amazing for our family. We felt so supported by Julie all through the buying process and beyond. We had an excellent experience using Julie as our listing agent. We received two offers within the first few days our listing was active, and were able to sell our home for full price - a great outcome for selling a home in November! Not only is she a thorough professional but she also understands the emotional ups and downs buyers/sellers go through. When my parents announced an intent to move from their home of 62 years, and said they had only one real estate agent (a neighbor) in mind, I thought, Oh no. Happily that agent was Julie Jensen. Julie treated my parents like her own. She was exceedingly helpful and honest, giving them practical ideas of how to prepare their home for sale. She even supplied them with suggestions of contractors, who admirably got the work done. This was a sensitive time for our entire family, and Julie never once ruffled feathers.
