Having lived around the world and the US, Kaja understands the big transitions associated with moving. She is committed to finding you much more than four walls to reside in; but rather, a place you can call home. Kaja values creativity and inventiveness and integrates this into her search and marketing strategies. She has bought, gut renovated and sold family homes in NYC, so appreciates what goes into this journey from a personal perspective as well.
Born in Barbados, and as a child of US Diplomats, Kaja grew up around the world in places like Warsaw and Krakow, Poland; Bangkok; Thailand; Berlin, Germany; and Athens, Greece. As a young adult she lived in Mexico City and across the US in Texas, Los Angeles, Denver, and Washington, DC before ultimately calling New York home.
Kaja received a BA in Psychology from Baylor University and an MS in Gerontology from The University of Southern California. As a Gerontologist, she worked in the aging field for over 10 years. Kaja moved to DC after 9/11 taking her expertise to the national level in advocacy, program management, politics, and lobbying. Her roles included National Director for Senior Outreach in Presidential Campaign Politics, and the Mayor’s Commission for an Age-Friendly New York City. “I love connecting with people and navigating all aspects of relationships and negotiations, which is why I ultimately chose real estate.”
Settled on Roosevelt Island with her husband and two sons, Kaja lives in one of the island’s best co-ops and sits on the Residents Association board, as well as the board of the local preschool. She previously resided in Midtown East. Her territory spans from Roosevelt Island to LIC/Astoria/Sunnyside, to East/West Harlem and other areas of Manhattan.
Outside of work and family, Kaja is learning tennis at the Tennis Bubble on Roosevelt Island. She adores sustainable fashion and NYC, especially concerts, shows, and comedy.
