Kara is the ultimate real estate professional. We met her while purchasing our home as an unrepresented buyer. She was knowledgeable, responsive, empathetic, and provided a wealth of useful local connections for other related services. Her support team at B&W is also fantastic!

Shortly thereafter, we engaged Kara to represent us in selling our townhome. She helped us with every step of home preparation, with sound advice and great knowledge of the local market. We were under contract within days of listing, but Kara really shined during the following month, helping to navigate through a series of challenging situations during attorney review, HOA document review, a second lender appraisal, a delayed closing, etc. She maintained calm and objectivity when others might have cracked. We highly recommend Kara for buying or selling a home in the Chicago / suburbs market!

What really sets her apart is her work ethic and attention to detail. She’s always available, incredibly thorough, and never lets anything slip through the cracks. She’s not just focused on listings, either as she keeps up with industries such as banking/finance and all the broader trends that can affect the housing market. That knowledge has been such an advantage, coupled with her many years of experience.

My husband and I have bought/sold 8 homes combined and we have never had real estate agents as responsive and hardworking as Kara & Jon Keller.

We recently sold our home of 20 years, the home in which we raised our family. Kara handled most of the day-to-day and Jon was our numbers guy.

Jon analyzed the market, answered all of our questions and helped us come to a listing price that was not pulled out of thin air. It made sense in the context of the market and how our home fit into what buyers were looking for. Really smart.

Kara ia a supreme strategist, marketer, and home stager. When we would challenge a suggestion, Kara was always the voice of reason - sharing her rationale and always leaving the final decision up to us.

I have never seen a real estate agent work so hard. She’d select items for staging, get our approval and then take care of procuring them, spending an inordinate amount of time at Menard’s and Target! She always kept costs in mind and when, on one occasion, I asked if she could find something less expensive, she did so without question.

Right before the house was ready, I noticed Kara was sitting underneath our glass kitchen dining table with a black furniture marker in her hand. She had taken it upon herself to clean up a few nicks on the table base making it look new in the process. Kara has a great eye for staging. (I think she has an art degree of some kind.)

Last, but not least, Kara and Jon put together a whole strategy for marketing our home taking us from pitching our business to closing the sale of our home in less than two months. To give you an idea of how Kara thinks, I asked her why she was holding a second open house in our first weekend on the market when we already had two offers in hand and a million showings in a very short period of time.

Kara said, “Your house is going to sell fast and agents only have so much band width. By holding one more open house, it gives buyers a chance to see the house a second or third time even if their agent isn’t available.” Simply brilliant.

Jon and Kara helped my mom, who, because of a brain injury, suffers from extreme anxiety and depression, find a condo in the area. It's not always easy working with someone who has these challenges and they showed such kindness and patience (even when I felt mine wore out at times). They worked just as diligently for an $90k condo as they did for us when we purchased in River Forest. Our house went on the market on March 13, one week before the state-wide stay-at-home order. We had no in-person showings for the next month. Kara and Jon responded with creative solutions including a drone video for a virtual showing flying through the house. Through dogged effort the house was sold in July for a reasonable price. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Kara Keller when I purchased my new home in Oak Park this year. I had lived in the City of Chicago for the past 27 years so moving to Oak Park was a little daunting for me. Fortunately, I had Kara by my side to find the perfect one. It is immediately obvious that Kara is an Oak Park expert and knows the greater area inside and out. She also knew personally what to look out for when viewing homes. We didn't waste any time looking at houses that weren't right as she asked all the necessary questions up front giving her a solid understanding of what was important to me in my home search. In the end, we found the right house where I am very happy to be living today. I couldn't have done this without her help.
