In her 9 years of being a real estate professional, Kara has been decorated with various awards, featured in countless books, magazines, podcasts and YouTube channels, and asked to speak in national conventions. She owns multiple residential, multifamily, and commercial properties in and out of the state, and is the CEO of the steadily growing Kara Pierce Team. Kara has been listed as one of America's Top 100 Real Estate Agents® multiple years in a row and continues to be recognized as the cream of the crop in the industry.
In 2017, Kara was nationally recognized as “30 under 30” by the National Association of Realtors and was featured on the cover of REALTOR Magazine. In 2019, she was internationally recognized on the cover of Keller Williams OutFront magazine in the Brave Ones Edition. In 2020, she won Harrisburg Magazine ‘Simply the Best’ in 2 categories, for Best Real Estate Agent and Best Real Estate Team. Her volume has grown each year since she began, with a quarter of $1 Billion in sold volume since she began.
Fluent in 3 languages, Kara immigrated to the U.S. in 1993 when her father, a Colonel in the Korean Army, was stationed as a weapon’s liaison at the Defense Logistics Agency in the New Cumberland Army Depot. Kara went from knowing two English words ("thank you") to graduating 3rd in her class from Cumberland Valley High School, concertmaster of the orchestra, and the captain of the Varsity Tennis Team.
Kara accepted a full-ride scholarship to Juniata College, where she played Number 1 doubles & Number 3 singles for the women's tennis team, toured internationally with the College Concert Choir, and was awarded the Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society Circle Leader of the Year. Double-majoring in Biochemistry and Theatre, Kara graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2009 and was awarded the Ruth S. Wolfe Memorial Scholarship for students with excellent academic records. After graduation, she headed to Hershey to attend Penn State College of Medicine.
Kara enjoys investing, performing music, and co-parenting her two sons with her friend and ex-husband, Dr. Jeffrey Chen, a practicing radiologist. Currently, Kara is the violin and keyboard player in the country band, "Why Not Me", touring in 2023. As a musician, mother, and now a multilingual citizen of the U.S., Kara strives to bring the highest professional standard in real estate to her clients and colleagues. She is an affluent investor, developer, and landlord in both residential and commercial properties, and is known in the real estate industry as a world-class negotiator.
